Explore South Africa's stunning Garden Route, sample some of the world's best wines, search for wildlife at the breathtaking Bonte Bok and Tsitsikama National Parks and explore cosmopolitan Cape Town on this incredible trip.

Day 1: Cape Town
Saturday. Arrive in Cape Town and make your way to the hotel. Attend a pre-departure group meeting with your trip leader scheduled for the evening. Today there are no planned activities, so depending on the time you arrive you can enjoy some optional activities in and around Cape Town. Overnight - Cape Town

Day 2: Bonte Bok National Park/Swellendam
Cape Town - Hermanus - Swellendam. Head to Bonte Bok National Park, home of the nearly extinct Bontebok antelope. En route, stop in the picturesque town of Hermanus, and admire the views of the dramatic South African coastline. Days 3 - 4: Plettenberg Bay
Swellendam - Plettenberg Bay. Before departing Swellendam, we'll visit the Diaz and Drosdy Museums, then go for some fine liqueur tasting before travelling on along the Garden Route to Plettenberg Bay. On day 4, explore Tsitsikamma National Park and it's dramatic coastiline, and take some time for other activities such as mountain biking or canoeing, or simply strolling the beaches or in and out of the numerous boutiques in Plettenberg Bay. Days 5 - 6: Swartberg
Plettenberg Bay - Swartberg. Take in the wonders of the South African landscape as we take a scenic drive to travel over the Outeniqua Mountains into the area known as Klein Karoo (“Little Karoo”) where stay in the village of Swartberg with the dramatic Swartberg Mountains as a backdrop. Here, we visit Cango Ostrich Farm where you can see these unique creatures up close, and the more adventurous can ride one of these huge birds. Overnight - Swartberg (B:2, D:2)
Day 7: Stellenbosch
Swartberg - Stellenbosch. Our journey takes us to the quaint and beautiful Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. Amongst hundreds of square kilometers of manicured vineyards, you will embark on a wine tasting tour to explore the wine farms and to get a taste of the area, of course of its outstanding wines. Day 8: Cape Town
Stellenbosch - Cape Town. Enjoy an early morning City Tour of Stellenbosch with an optional museum tour. After the city tour we will enjoy a late morning/early afternoon cellar tour and wine tasting. In the afternoon, drive to Cape Town, the "Mother City". Take the opportunity to walk or ride up to Table Mountain admiring the views over Table Bay and Cape Town. Spend the afternoon catching up on last-minute curio shopping or just lazing on the beach absorbing the Cape's sunshine. Overnight - Cape Town (B)
Day 9: Cape Town
Sunday. Tour ends after breakfast at approximately 08:00 am. (B)
