Day 2: Tuli Block
Johannesburg - Tuli Block. An early morning departure from The Safari Club in Johannesburg takes us via Pretoria, Potgietersrus and through the Limpopo Province into Botswana via the Platjan border post. We proceed to the area known as the Tuli Block. This thin strip of land in the southeast of Botswana, borders Zimbabwe to the north and South Africa to the south. It is one of the few areas of commercial farmland as it receives more rain than the rest of Botswana. The land in the extreme east is where the game reserves have been established with huge herds of elephants and hundreds of colourful birds. We will head off for a game drive either this evening of day or the next morning, depending on the time of arrival. We will enjoy our evening meal prepared by our guide around the campfire before spending our first night in the African wilderness. Overnight - Limpopo River Lodge - Tuli Block (B, L, D)

It is the last vestiges of Africa’s largest inland sea and exudes an atmosphere of antiquity and mystery. The Nata River delta feeds the Sua Pan in the Nata sanctuary and forms the breeding ground for a host of water birds including pelicans and flamingo in their thousands, transforming the shore line into a pink haze blending into the western sky. We spend the evening relaxing at our lodge. Overnight - Planet Baobab Lodge - Makgadikgadi & Nxai Pan N.P. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Maun
