Days 2 - 4: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast set out for the stunning landscape of the mighty Serengeti National Park, renowned for its annual migration of wildebeests. The vast open plains of the Serengeti offer arguably the most scintillating game viewing in Africa. Spend the next three days going in search of wildlife on early morning and evening game drives. Days 5 - 6: Ngorongoro

On day 5 travel to another natural wonder, the Ngorongoro Crater, spanning 260 square kilometres and reaching 620 metres in depth and home to a multitude of wildlife. A stop at Olduvai Gorge will be made en route. Early the following day head off on a half day game drive to the crater floor and enjoy a picnic on the shores of one of the crater’s lakes for lunch. Overnight - Ngorongoro Crater (B:2, L:2, D:2)

Day 7: Journey to the Spice Island

Leave Ngorongoro behind and travel back to Arusha for your onward flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight - Zanzibar (B)

Days 8 - 13: Zanzibar Relaxing

Spend the next 6 days relaxing on the beautiful white sands soaking up the sunshine or perhaps opt for a spot of snorkelling or scuba diving to see the incredible coral reefs teeming with exotic fish and even the odd dolphin in the azure waters. Overnight - Zanzibar (B:6, D:6)

Day 14: Zanzibar

Transfer to Zanzibar airport in time for your onward flight home. (B)

Ngorongoro Crater

Imagine a giant bowl teeming with wildlife, in the middle of the African bush and you are close to an idea of the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, which is a vast and unbroken volcanic crater ring known as a caldera. Thanks to a permanent water and pasture source, the crater floor plays host to nearly every species of African animal. Zebra, buffalo, black rhino and wildebeest graze amongst the predatory lion, cheetah and hyena. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the last remaining areas in Tanzania where you can see the endangered Black Rhino.
