Cape Point, South Africa

Day 1: Cape Town

Welcome to Cape Town and the start of your African Adventure! Today enjoy a guided walking tour of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront which is the place to go for restaurants and shopping and is still a working harbour. Continue on to discover the main sights of Cape Town including Table Mountain which provides spectacular views over the city and Peninsula (cable car fee is not included as it is weather dependent and usually closed for annual maintenance from the last week of July - Mid August). As you come back down the mountain, stop at Blouberg Beach which offers amazing views of Table Mountain across the bay. Overnight Southern Sun Cape Town Waterfront.

Day 2: Cape Town

After breakfast embark on a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula. Take in the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives, and witness the symbolic meeting of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. We visit the African Penguin breeding colony at Boulders Beach, this is one of only three land based colonies in South Africa. Then stop at the world- renowned Kirstenbosch Gardens before returning to your hotel. Overnight Southern Sun Cape Town Waterfront.

Day 3: Cape Town

Enjoy a full day Winelands tour which takes you to the heart of South Africa's wine industry, Stellenbosch, steeped in South African history, canal-lined avenues and beautifully preserved historic buildings. We enjoy our first wine tasting of the day before continuing on to Franschhoek, billed as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa. Enjoy a visit to the Hugenot Memorial, and another a wine tasting before taking time to enjoy lunch at one of the many award winning restaurants (lunch not included). Our last stop for the day is the Afrikaans Language Monument and a wine estate on the Paarl wine route. Day 4: Cape Town - Johannesburg

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg (not included) You will be met on arrival and taken to the Lesedi Cultural Village where you can experience village life of the Zulu, Ndebele, Sotho, Pedi and Xhosa people. You will have the opportunity to sample traditional food and see traditional dancers. You will then be transferred to the Garden Court O.R. Tambo International Airport Hotel which is conveniently located near International Airport. Overnight Garden Court O.R. Tambo International Airport Hotel.

Day 5: Johannesburg - Victoria Falls

Take the complimentary hotel shuttle bus to O.R. Tambo International Airport for your flight to Victoria Falls (not included), on the Zimbabwean side of the Falls. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. Set on a plateau forming a natural boundary with the Zambezi National Park, the lodge enjoys uninterrupted views of the African sunset and game that surround the lodge. Later this afternoon enjoy a sunset cruise on the might Zambezi River. Overnight Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Victoria Falls

Enjoy a tour of the falls today. It is a truly awe-inspiring experience. No photograph can begin to depict the reality and nothing prepares you for your first sight. You will be accompanied through the Rainforest by a qualified Guide, who will give a brief history of the Falls and the surrounding flora, fauna, bird and wildlife. Day 7: Victoria Falls

Journey into Botswana today to the Chobe National Park, home to the largest elephant herds in the world. As well as elephant, an abundance of giraffe, zebra, impala, wildebeest, waterbuck, warthogs, lion and hyena can be seen, and if you are very lucky, cheetah and leopard. The Park boasts four distinctly different eco systems: serondela with its lush plains and dense forests in the Chobe River area to the northeast, the Savute Marsh in the west and the Linyanti Swamps in the northwest, with the hot, dry hinterland in between. Enjoy a boat safari on the Chobe River and a game drive in the afternoon before returning to Victoria Falls. Overnight Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.

Day 8: Victoria Falls

Today is at your leisure to explore on your own. Victoria Falls town is home to an endless number of activities from white water rafting, canoeing, helicopter flips, elephant back safaris, canopy tours and adventure slides, river cruises, and golf, there is something for everyone. Overnight Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Victoria Falls - Johannesburg

This morning is at your leisure before you are transferred to the airport for your flight back to O.R. Tambo International Airport (not included). Take the complimentary airport shuttle to your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to relax. Overnight Garden Court O.R. Tambo International Airport Hotel.

Day 10: Johannesburg - Kruger N.P.

Departing Johannesburg, we head east towards Mpumalanga Province. A landscape characterized by mountains, panoramic passes, valleys, rivers, waterfalls and forests. Stop in Dullstroom to visit the Bird of Prey Rehabilitation Centre (guided tour not included) Continue driving along the scenic Panorama Route, famous for its breathtaking vistas. Highlights include ‘God’s Window’ which has stunning views across the canyon and surrounding area, Bourke’s Luck Potholes to view these incredible eroded rock formations and the Blyde River Canyon, which is the 3rd largest canyon in the world. Day 11: Kruger N.P.

Early this morning we head into Kruger National Park, big game country, for our game drive. Kruger is one of the largest game reserves in Africa, covering a staggering 20,000sq km. Established in 1898 to protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, it has a great array of wildlife including lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah and giraffe. Late this afternoon we will check into our restcamp, the rest of the evening is at your leisure. Overnight Satara, Olifants, Letaba or Skukuza Restcamp.

Day 12: Kruger N.P.

Early this morning enjoy a game drive in Kruger National Park, considered to be the best time for animal spotting. Later we will arrive at the Chapungu Luxury Tented Lodge, where the tents overlook the magnificent bushveld. Transfer to your safari vehicle for an afternoon game drive which extends into the evening to view seldom seen nocturnal species by torchlight. You will break somewhere out in the bush, in a remote, scenic spot to watch the sunset, where Sundowners and snacks will be offered. Upon returning to the lodge enjoy a gourmet 3 course meal. Day 13: Kruger N.P.

An early start to the morning to go in search of the ‘Big Five’ have your camera ready as there will be some fantastic photo opportunities. Breakfast will be served either back at the camp or in the riverbed or bush, before you are offered the chance to accompany an armed ranger and tracker for a bush walk. Walks allow guests a better chance to see some of the smaller creatures of the bush as well as the chance to learn more about the flora and fauna of the region & to have a chance to follow tracks in more detail. Day 14: Kruger N.P. - Johannesburg

Embark on one last game drive before you are transferred back to Johannesburg via the Abel Erasmus Pass and the small towns of Lydenburg, Dullstroom and Belfast. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight Garden Court O.R. Tambo International Airport Hotel.

Day 15: Johannesburg

Today our arrangements come to an end, take the complimentary hotel shuttle bus to the airport in time for your departure flight. This marks the end of your holiday with us in Africa. We truly hope you will have had a great time, collecting many wonderful memories of this beautiful continent.
