Welcome to Johannesburg! You will be met at the door of your aircraft with your name on a paging board, your documents will be handed over to you. You will then be shown to your onward flight PLEASE NOTE: Should your arrival aircraft be directed to the apron and not the terminal, you will be transported to the terminal by bus. Your Meet and Greet will then be waiting for you as you step off the bus with the paging board. The scheduled flight from Johannesburg Airport to Hoedspruit Airport is not included in the price of this tour. Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport you will be met and transferred to your accommodation in the Greater Kruger National Park where you will spend the next three nights.
Stretching virtually all the way along the border with Mozambique, it’s said that Kruger has the greatest variety of wildlife in Africa. Lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, giraffe are present as are a profusion of herbivores. Seeing the wildlife in their natural habitat is a wonderful experience, especially at a waterhole. Spend the next two days exploring the Greater Kruger National Park and spotting wildlife on morning and afternoon game drives (shared canter).
After breakfast, transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport for your flight to Cape Town. You will be met at the airport upon arrival and transferred to your accommodation where you will spend the next four nights. PLEASE NOTE: The scheduled flight from Kruger Mpumalanga Airport to Cape Town Airport is not included in the price of this tour.
Explore the city of Cape Town, known affectionately as the Mother City. Your tour will take in the Houses of Parliament, the Castle (built between 1666 and 1679, this is South Africa’s oldest building), the lively Greenmarket Square with its daily market, the Company Gardens and of course Table Mountain, which will give you spectacular views over the city and the Peninsula (the cable car fee is not included as it is weather dependent). As you come back down from the mountain, make a stop at Bo-Kaap, home to the Cape Malay community, with its cobbled streets and brightly coloured houses. From here you have the choice of being dropped off at the Waterfront or at your hotel to end the tour.
Take an excursion to the beautiful Winelands for wine tasting at Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl estates. A delightful drive winds its way through superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads. Our first stop is Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa with canal lined avenues and magnificent examples of Cape Dutch architecture. Onward over the scenic Helshoogte Pass, to Franschoek, founded by French Hugenots over 350 years ago, and widely regarded as the culinary capital of South Africa. Your final stop is at the town of Paarl, at the foot of a cluster of remarkable granite domes where you do your last wine tasting before heading back to Cape Town.
Today you embark on a fulll day tour of the Cape Peninsula. Take in the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, before crossing over to Hout Bay, where you may choose to join an optional boat cruise (book and pay locally) to Seal Island. From here you drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via Chapman's Peak, one of the world's most breath taking coastal drives, where you will board a funicular to get to the top of the Peninsula to witness the symbolic meeting of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans and enjoy spectacular views over False Bay. This afternoon continue to Simonstown, the naval base, and visit the African Penguin breeding colony at Boulders Beach. Then stop at the world- renowned Kirstenbosch Gardens.
Transfer to Cape Town Airport for your flight to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The iconic town of Victoria Falls is set on the southern bank of the Zambezi River, at the western end of the mighty Victoria Falls. Zimbabwe's prime tourist destination and a magnet for visitors from around the world Vic Falls has a rich and romantic history. PLEASE NOTE: The scheduled flight from Cape Town Airport to Victoria Falls Airport is not included in the price of this tour.
On day 9 take a morning or aftenroon two hour tour of the mighty Victoria Falls in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. Victoria Falls are a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, bordering Zambia and Zimbabwe. You will be accompanied through the Rainforest by a qualified Guide, who gives a brief history of the Falls and the surrounding flora, fauna, bird and wildlife. Raincoats and camera protective bags are provided when needed. Spend day 10 at your own leisure, further exploring the area.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport for your onward flight.
