Cape Point, South Africa

Day 1: Cape Town

Welcome to Sensational South Africa! Arriving into Cape Town airport our local team are on hand to drive you to your hotel

Day 2: Cape Town

We commence with a cable car trip up the legendary Table Mountain for spectacular views of the Mother City and the surrounding peninsula. (weather permitting; cable car fee not included), Back in the city itself, we visit the well preserved Company Gardens, the S.A. Museum, the Castle of Good Hope and the vibrant and arty flea market, Greenmarket Square. We also take a trip through the colourful and picturesque Malay Quarter known as Bo-Kaap.

Day 3: Cape Town

Today we take you on a wine tour. The tour starts at 08:30 and we head to Paarl and a local wine estate. An informative cellar tour and wine tasting gives personalised insight into the finer points of wine-making. Proceed to the town of Franschhoek. Here we have time to enjoy the culinary skills of the chefs at one of the many award winning restaurants (not included in cost). Onward to Stellenbosch, the heart of the South African wine Industry. With the sheer vastness of wine estates on offer, we are spoilt for choice when we enjoy our final wine tasting of the day.

Day 4: Cape Town

Today is an awe-inspiring full day tour to the towering headland known as Cape Point. Magnificent beaches, breathtaking views, historic and picturesque coastal villages are to be seen along the way. The Cape Peninsula is one of the world’s most scenic areas and stretches from the City centre to Cape Point.

Day 5: Cape Town - Victoria Falls

This morning a transfer to the airport for your flight to Victoria Falls (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED) Arriving into Victoria Falls, our local team are on hand to transfer you to your hotel.

Day 6: Victoria Falls

Today is at your leisure to explore the area you can book trips to the falls, helicopter rides and adrenaline activities with our local office.

Day 7: Victoria Falls - Chobe N. P.

After breakfast, we cross the border into Botswana as we head for the Chobe River and National Park. The afternoon will be spent cruising the Chobe River where you will get the opportunity to view all manner of wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, elephants and a vast number of birds.

Day 8: Chobe N. P.

Enjoy exploring Chobe National Park on a full day game drive. Chobe was Botswana’s first National Park, the most diverse and the home to the largest concentration of elephants in Africa.

Day 9: Chobe N. P. - Victoria Falls

Heading back to Zimbabwe today, we leave Botswana behind and return to Victoria Falls.

Day 10: Victoria Falls - Nairobi

Enjoy a relaxing breakfast. Later a transfer to the airport in Livingstone Zambia in time for your flight to Nairobi. (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED) Arriving into Nairobi our local driver will take you to your hotel.

Day 11: Nairobi - Masai Mara N.P.

This morning it’s an early start as we leave for the Masai Mara National Reserve. The magic of the Mara becomes clear as soon as we enter the Reserve's gates. The vast open plains are home to some of the most spectacular wildlife documentaries and photos. After you have checked in and enjoyed lunch you may want to take some time to unpack and settle in. In any case we suggest you wait until the heat of the day has begun to subside until you head out on your first game drive.

Day 12: Masai Mara N.P.

A fabulous day in the Masai Mara awaits as we wake early ready for an early morning game drive. Back at the Lodge breakfast will be waiting for us on our return. After breakfast a morning by the pool or relaxing with a good book awaits. Alternatively, explore the grounds with a guide, spotting the smaller animals of the Mara on foot. After lunch another game drive out in the Reserve spotting and ticking off some of those must see animals from your list is a rewarding way to spend the afternoon before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 13: Masai Mara N.P.

Today is your last day in the Masai Mara and after an early morning game drive an educational visit to a local Masai Village (additional cost) might be an interesting way to spend the rest of your morning. Learn about the Masai way of life and explore a traditional Masai Manyatta before returning to the lodge in time for a late lunch and an afternoon of relaxing before heading out on our last afternoon game drive of our safari.

Day 14: Masai Mara N.P. - Serengeti N.P.

Today we leave masai mara with lunch boxed for Serengeti crossing the sirari border (need to have Tanzania visa before arrival in Africa). Change of drivers and vehicles at the border; proceed to Serengeti and check into your lodge.

Day 15: Serengeti N.P.

Leaving early we explore the larger area of the Serengeti, with its various landscapes, from savannahs, forests, dry river beds and rocky kopjes, all of which offering a better environment for a whole range of animals. Your picnic lunch will be enjoyed in a secluded spot in the park among the wildlife.

Day 16: Serengeti N.P. - Ngorongoro Crater

We make our way to the Ngorongoro Highlands visiting Olduvai Gorge en route. The gorge is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world, where a distant ancestor of man was found, which is believed to be 1.8 million years old.

Day 17: Ngorongoro Crater - Zanzibar

Early morning we head to the Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the crater floor itself, for an exciting game drive. We spend the morning exploring this fascinating wildlife amphitheatre, home to nearly 25,000 animals, which remain in the crater due to the constant supply of water from the springs. Immediately after lunch on the rim of the crater we drive to Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight to Zanzibar. Arriving here, our local driver will take you to your resort.

Days 18-20: Zanzibar

Spend the next few days at leisure, relaxing on the beautiful white sands and soaking up the sunshine. For those feeling active, there's a wide range of excursions available locally. Perhaps opt for a spot of snorkelling or scuba diving to see the incredible coral reefs teeming with exotic fish and perhaps the odd dolphin in the azure waters.

Day 21: Zanzibar

Today we transfer you to Zanzibar airport for your flight home (You can also fly home from Dar Es Salaam that is a short ferry ride away please advise us accordingly to quote any applicable supplement)
