Johannesburg city

Day 1: Johannesburg - Chobe N. P.

Welcome to Tambo International where you will be met by our local representatives before boarding your flight to Livingstone. Upon arrival into Livingstone you will be met by our local representatives and transferred to Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero.

Days 2-3: Chobe N. P.

Over the next couple of days enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. Here we can watch elephants, hippos, lions, crocodiles and a variety of birds and more without having to even reach for our binoculars! Chobe National Park is the second largest park in Botswana and covers an area of 10566 square kilometres. With areas of marshland, flood plains, savannah, grasslands, woodland and two rivers, the park is really diverse. The San bushmen originally inhabited the park and hunted throughout the area. Chobe is known for its elephant population, with some 120,000 elephants based in the park. They tend to be particularly large but their ivory is brittle, so will only have short tusks. Day 4: Chobe N. P. - Livingstone

Your time in Chobe has come to an end as you are transferred back to Livingstone. After check in enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight Livingstone at The Royal Livingstone Hotel

Day 5: Livingstone - Nairobi

This morning you are transferred back to the airport in time for your departure flight to your onward destination. On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport, you will be met by an Albatros Travel representative and given a short safari briefing then transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 6: Nairobi - Amboseli

This morning you will be collected from your hotel by our representatives and transferred to the Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch at your camp. Later in the afternoon as evening draws closer it’s time for the first of your safari game drives. Dinner and overnight at your camp

Day 7: Amboseli

As the sun rises on another day in Amboseli, get up early to make the most of the early morning games drives. This time of day is also the best chance you may have of seeing Mt Kilimanjaro in all its glory. All meals and overnight at your camp

Day 8: Amboseli - Tarangire N.P.

Today we cross the border into Tanzania where we are met and transferred to Arusha for lunch at the Mount Meru Hotel. After lunch we drive to Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive and an evening drive to the camp. Overnight - Escarpment Lodge

Day 9: Tarangire N.P.

We depart after breakfast and take a picnic lunch box for our drive to Tarangire National Park. Once in the park we begin a game drive before heading back to camp for dinner. Overnight - Escarpment Lodge

Days 10-11: Tarangire N.P. - Ngorongoro Crater

Tarangire - Ngorongoro Highlands. After breakfast on day 6 we drive to Ngorongoro where we descend down into the crater floor for a full day's game drive. By late afternoon we ascend back up the crater and drive to the lodge for the night. Take another game drive on day 7 which includes a stop at Olduvai Gorge - the cradle of mankind. Days 12-13: Serengeti N.P.

Ngorongoro Highlands - Serengeti. After breakfast on day 8 we drive to the Serengeti for two days of game driving in one of Africa's premier national parks. It is possible to catch a glimpse of all the 'Big Five' in one day if you're lucky. Lunches on this portion of the trip will be picnic lunches so as to gain as much time on the park as possible and maximise viewings. Overnight - Kirawira Tented Camp

Day 14: Serengeti N.P. - Masai Mara N.P.

After breakfast, depart and drive to Migori Airstrip for the flight to Maasai Mara – the flight departs Migori at 1215 hrs to arrive at 1245 hrs. You will be met upon arrival at the airstrip and transferred to your camp. This afternoon enjoy a game drive in the Mara North Conservancy. Dinner and overnight at Karen Blixen camp.

Day 15: Masai Mara N.P.

Morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara. The Mara is technically an extension of Tanzania’s renowned Serengeti National Park, but it’s rolling grasslands, meandering rivers and towering escarpments equals to an endless amount of game viewing. Home to a wide variety of animals, the Mara is also famous for its Big Five. All meals at the camp .

Day 16: Masai Mara N.P.

Rise early and take the option of a balloon safari across the Masai Mara (additional cost). Take off in the crisp morning air, only to experience a game-viewing adventure with an entirely different perspective. As you silently float across the plains, forest and rivers for approximately an hour, your journey comes to end back on land but accompanied with a fully cooked champagne breakfast. The day sees more game viewing in the mara North Conservancy - both in the morning and late afternoon. All meals and overnight at your camp

Day 17: Masai Mara N.P. - Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your lodge and transferred to Sunbird Lodge in Elementaita, ,arriving for lunch at your lodge. Your afternoon will be at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Sunbird Lodge.

Day 18: Lake Nakuru

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National park Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for the thousands of lesser and greater flamingos that flock to this soda lake’s edge. The numbers vary depending on the water level, and when it’s low, the lake almost turns pink. A truly spectacular sight! The park was established as a sanctuary for black and white rhino, which are often seen. Picnic lunch in the park, after which you drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 19: Lake Nakuru

Depart after breakfast and drive to Nairobi. Drop off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight to Rwanda - 2 WB 401 NBO KGL 1130 1145 (not included in cost) Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met and after an early lunch drive (3hrs) to Volcanoes National park.

Day 20:

Today you go Gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park.

Day 21:

Second (optional)Gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park. Time permiting afternoon scenic drive viewing the Twin lake and the Volcanoes.

Day 22:

Morning Golden Monkey tracking. After lunch, proceed to Kigali in time to check in for your international departure flight.
