Welcome to South Africa! Included transfer from Johannesburg Airport, to our accommodation. Overnight at the Metcourt Hotel.

Day 2: Johannesburg

Today enjoy a thrilling full day at the Ukutala Lion Park. Enjoy waking with the lions, interacting with the cubs, bottle feeding and guided tours of both Lion and Cheetah enclosures. Return transfers are included - Entrance need to be paid locally -- Overnight at the Metcourt Hotel.

Day 3: Johannesburg - Kruger N.P.

This morning you will be collected by your private charter expedition vehicle, meet your crew whom will be with you for the next 10 days. Today you drive to Kruger National Park. Arriving here enjoy a game drive in the truck, setting up camp and enjoying lunch and dinner. (OVERNIGHT CAMPING AT SAN PARKS - TENTS PROVIDED AS PART OF THE EXPEDITION)

Day 6: Kruger N.P. - Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Departing Kruger, we drive south into the Kingdom of Swaziland, a picturesque land locked country nestled between South Africa and Mozambique. We stop off at the well known Ngwenya Glass workshop where Swazi craftsmen demonstrate their age-old art form before we continue on to Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. (OVERNIGHT IN BEEHIVES)

Day 7: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Today is at leisure exploring some of the options available at Mlilwane. Home to many species of antelope and resident bird life the sanctuary is the perfect place to explore on foot or by bike, or perhaps opt to pay locally for a horse-ride. (OVERNIGHT IN BEEHIVES)

Day 8: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Continuing through Swaziland, we journey south and cross the border back in to South Africa before heading to the town of St Lucia, nestled between the warm Indian Ocean and a fresh water estuary. This estuary is home to a wide variety of local bird-life and numerous pods of resident hippo and crocodiles. Time allowing, we may have the opportunity to explore the lagoon on a sunset boat cruise over this striking backdrop. Day 9: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary - Drakensberg Mountains

Journeying further south along the Kwazulu Natal coast, we turn inland to the ‘mountains of spears’ or the Drakensberg as named by early Dutch Settlers. The magnificent Drakensberg Mountains have long been a favourite for hikers and there are various view points and walking trails scattered along its base. Days 10-11: Drakensberg Mountains

Today and tomorrow are at leisure to explore the Drakensberg Mountains. Here you can enjoy self guided hikes and walks in the spectacular scenery. (OVERNIGHT CAMPING AT THE KZN GIANTS CASTLE - TENTS PROVIDED AS PART OF THE EXPEDITION)

Day 12: Drakensberg Mountains - Plettenberg Bay

Today we drive the final leg to Durban Airport - Say farewell to your expedition crew - Catch the flight to Port Elizabeth - Arriving here our local team will transfer you to your accommodation in Plettenberg Bay (OVERNIGHTS AT SELF CATERING APARTMENTS - AFRICAN ARRAY LODGE)

Days 13-20: Plettenberg Bay

The next days are completely at your leisure to explore the many wonders available in the region, such as Tsitsikamma National Park, Mossel Bay, Langeberg Mountain Range, Botlierskop Game Reserve and so much more. (OVERNIGHTS AT SELF CATERING APARTMENTS - AFRICAN ARRAY LODGE)

Day 21: Plettenberg Bay - Oudtshoorn

Today we travel by coach along part of the scenic Garden Route to the Karoo town of Oudtshoorn, which was once a hub of trade in the ostrich feather industry. This afternoon we visit the vast Cango Caves and a working Ostrich Farm to learn more about these giant flightless birds - even try your skills at riding one!! Day 22: Oudtshoorn

Today enjoy the day to activities you may like to do you can choose to pay and locally for hiking, horse riding, caving, mountain biking and more. (OVERNIGHT AT THE The Pearl of Oudtshoorn HOTEL)

Day 23: Oudtshoorn - Cape Town

Taking the scenic Route 62 today we make our way to the “Mother City” of Cape Town. Arriving in the afternoon we have the evening free to explore the vibrant night life of the city. (OVERNIGHT AT THE CITY LODGE V&A WATERFRONT HOTEL)

Day 24: Cape Town

Enjoy a half day city tour we visit the well preserved Company Gardens, the S.A. Museum, the Castle of Good Hope and the vibrant and arty flea market, Greenmarket Square. We also take a trip through the colourful and picturesque Malay Quarter known as Bo-Kaap. (OVERNIGHT AT THE CITY LODGE V&A WATERFRONT HOTEL)

Day 25: Cape Town

A free day to explore Cape Town. Maybe visit the V & A Waterfront and shop to your heart’s content, head out to Robben Island and see where Mandela spent many years or relax on one of the many beautiful beaches. When nightfall hits, visit one of the many fantastic restaurants - perhaps try some fresh seafood, then head on to one of the many buzzing bars that Cape Town has to offer.(OVERNIGHT AT THE CITY LODGE V&A WATERFRONT HOTEL)

Day 26: Cape Town
