Day 1: Nairobi - Elementeita

Welcome to Kenya! Arrive into Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be met by your local representative and your guide/driver. We drive to Lake Elementeita, a small soda lake, nestled in the eastern sweep of the Great Rift Valley. The Lake is surrounded by spectacular country that played an important role in the early colonial history of Kenya. The lake attracts many visiting flamingo, and its shores are grazed by zebra, gazelle, eland and families of warthog. The lake and its surrounding forests are perfect for long walks and bird watching. Your lodge is located on the edge of the Lake, spend the afternoon at leisure to relax or take up a few of the optional activities available at the lodge.
