Today you will be transferred to the airport for your shuttle flight to the Kruger National Park where on arrival you will be transferred to your lodge, home for the next three nights.
Kruger is the flagship of Africa and South Africa’s game reserves, offering an exceptional safari experience. Spend the next two days enjoying two game activities daily in the National Park. You will also have time to sit back, relax at your lodge and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and sounds of the wild!
Departing the wilds of the Kruger today we transfer you back to the airstrip for your shuttle flight to Port Elizabeth airport. At the airport you will collect your hire car vehicle and make your way to Knysna.
Today is a free day for you to explore Knysna independently.
Departing Knysna, make your way to Klein Karoo’s capital - Oudtshoorn. Here there is the option to visit the Safari Ostrich Ranch or the Cango Caves to explore the ancient stalagmites and stalactites and visit endangered animals at the Cango Wildlife Ranch.
Continue the Garden Route west to Franschhoek located in the Cape winelands region. Over the next two days you will have ample opportunity to enjoy fine wines and delicious international cuisine. Besides the obvious wine tours, there are also walking trails, cycling and for a wine tour with a difference, take a horse riding wine tour. There is also trout fishing in various streams and dams on the surrounding farms. Franschhoek also has numerous antique shops and local arts and crafts stores, an easy way to while away an afternoon.
Today make your way to Cape Town, affectionately known as the 'Mother City'. The next two days offer free time for you to independently explore. With Table Mountain as its iconic backdrop, a bevy of beautiful beaches, the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, wonderful shops, restaurants and bars, Cape Town is an essential stop in South Africa.
Today enjoy a boat trip to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. From the 17th to the 20th centuries, Robben Island served as a place of banishment, isolation and imprisonment. Today it is a World Heritage Site and museum, a poignant reminder to the newly democratic South Africa of the price paid for freedom.
