Cape Point, South Africa

Day 1: Cape Town

We commence with a cable car trip up the legendary Table Mountain for spectacular views of the Mother City and the surrounding peninsula. (weather permitting; cable car fee not included), Back in the city itself, we visit the well preserved Company Gardens, the S.A. Museum, the Castle of Good Hope and the vibrant and arty flea market, Greenmarket Square. We also take a trip through the colourful and picturesque Malay Quarter known as Bo-Kaap.

Day 2: Cape Town

This is an awe-inspiring tour to the towering headland known as Cape Point. Magnificent beaches, breathtaking views, historic and picturesque coastal villages are to be seen along the way. The Cape Peninsula is one of the world’s most scenic areas and stretches from the City centre to Cape Point.

Day 3: Cape Town - Oudtshoorn

We travel to Oudtshoorn today, taking in the Cango Caves with the beautiful stalagmites and stalactites and an ostrich farm, once the main economy of this region.

Day 4: Oudtshoorn - Plettenberg Bay

Today we drive over the stunning Outeniqua pass down to the coast. We pass through the small coastal towns of George, Wilderness, Sedgefield and Knysna. Our destination for the day is Plettenberg Bay, the jewel of the Garden Route, with its sweeping unspoiled golden beaches and dramatic rocky peninsular.

Day 5: Plettenberg Bay

Today you will have a full day in Tsitsikamma National Park, a beautiful 80km long coastal strip between Nature’s Valley and the mouth of Storms River. For those that are feeling adventurous there is the opportunity to conquer the highest bungee jump in the world at Bloukrans (optional, book locally). We spend the day hiking to the suspension bridge at Storms River mouth.

Day 6: Plettenberg Bay - Addo

We travel towards Addo Elephant Park today, to our guest house on the edge of the park.

Day 7: Addo - Hoedspruit

We travel to Port Elizabeth airoirt today for the flight to Hoedspruit. Upon arrival we will transfer you to the lodge in Kapama Reserve, a private reserve on the edge of Kruger National Park. (own flight to Hoedspruit).

Day 8: Hoedspruit

You willl have 2 game drives included today. It’s said that Kruger has the greatest variety of wildlife in Africa. Lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, giraffe are present as are a profusion of herbivores. Established in 1898 to protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, this national park of nearly 2 million hectares, is unrivalled in the diversity of its life forms

Day 9: Hoedspruit - Johannesburg

We will transfer you to Hoedspruit airport (own flight Hoedspruit to Johannesburg). We will meet you at Johannesburg airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 10: Johannesburg

Free day. There are optional tours available whilst in Johannesburg - Soweto tour, Johannesburg city tour, Apartheid Museum, Lesedi Cultural tour, Gold reef tour, Cradle of Human Kind tour.

Day 11: Johannesburg

We will transfer you to the airport in time for your departure flight.
