Welcome to Sensational South Africa! Arriving into Cape Town Airport, you will see our friendly local team waiting to transfer you to your hotel. This afternoon meet our guide in reception for a scheduled afternoon City Tour – a geographical and cultural extravaganza showing you Cape Town from its historical beginnings to the dazzling modern shopping malls of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
Embark on a full day Cape Point excursion today. This morning travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay to Hout Bay, a quaint village and fishing harbour with magnificent mountain views and beach. Here you have the option to take a boat trip to Seal Island (seasonal). Carry on over Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives, to Cape Point, the most south-westerly tip of Africa and and the picturesque Good Hope Nature Reserve. After lunch travel on to Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach.
Today take an excursion to the beautiful Winelands for wine tasting on one of the many estates in each of the following cities - Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. This delightful drive winds its way through superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads.
We depart Cape Town this morning and head out onto Route 62, the longest wine route in the Western Cape. It is an area of magnificent landscapes, towering cliffs and an abundance of trees and indigenous flora, and meanders all the way to Oudtshoorn our first destination. Oudtshoorn is the ostrich capital of the world and this afternoon we visit a show farm to learn about the history and use of these unique birds, as well as their life cycle and how they are farmed.
After breakfast we travel to the beautiful Cango Caves where we embark on a guided tour of the mysterious limestone formations in this subterranean wonderland. We continue our drive over the breathtaking Outeniqua pass which offers stunning views over the Swartberg escarpment and the Indian Ocean, and make our way to the Garden Route town of Knysna. Embark on an informative cruise up the Keurbooms River before arriving at your lodge where you shall spend the following two nights.
After breakfast, get up-close-and-personal with nature at the Elephant Sanctuary. The visit presents you with the opportunity to touch, feed and photograph these gentle giants. After lunch (to own account), visit Birds of Eden – the largest free-flight bird aviary in the world. Optional: Whale & Dolphin boat experience (weather & time permitting; not included) before returning to the lodge.
After breakfast and check-out formalities, journey along the final leg of the Garden Route to the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park. Enjoy a walk along the suspension bridge across the Storms River mouth gorge which offers visitors incredible views and photo opportunities. Arrive in Port Elizabeth at approximately 18h00 with drop-off the hotel.
Transfer to Port Elizabeth Airport for your flight to Durban (flight not included). On arrival at King Shaka International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel which is located on the Golden Mile – Durban’s distinctive beach front. Afternoon collection from your hotel for a city tour of Durban, where east meets west; a city beneath which beats the pulse of Africa. On the tour you will discover the cultural and historical contrasts of the city. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
This morning you depart Durban and travel up the Elephant Coast of KwaZulu Natal to St Lucia, located at the southern extremity of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park – a World Heritage Site. Here you embark on an estuarine boat trip which provides an opportunity to view crocodiles, hippo and numerous bird species, including the elusive African Kingfisher Eagle, in their natural habitat. In the afternoon you will transfer to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve for an afternoon of game viewing.
Enjoy a morning at leisure to relax or embark on one of the optional morning activities on offer from the lodge. Later in the day, embark on a scenic drive up the Ubombo Mountains, offering views over Lake Jozini. The drive will be combined with a visit to a local and authentic Zulu homestead for a glimpse into Zulu life in today’s world. End the day with dinner at the hotel.
Today you journey to the Royal Kingdom of Swaziland. This tiny mountainous kingdom is filled with bygone African traditions and culture and offers beautiful scenery and attractions such as game reserves and art & craft outlets to name a few. Travel via Big Bend and visit the Swazi Candle Factory where each candle is made and finished by hand using the age-old technique "millefiore". No two are the same and the range boasts an astonishing array of patterns, shapes and designs. After spending some time at the Mbabane craft markets arrive at your hotel located in the beautiful Ezulwini Valley. (OVERNIGHT Royal Swazi Sun)
This morning the tour continues through Swaziland. En route you will stop at the Ngwenya Glass Works to see master craftsmen create beautiful sculptures and artwork from molten glass. At the Jeppe’s Reef border, enjoy a showcase of the traditional Swazi culture followed by lunch at the Matsamo Cultural Village. Early this morning you will depart on an open vehicle safari through the Kruger National Park. The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. At nearly 2 million hectares, the reserve is the flagship of South African National Parks and is home to an impressive number of flora and fauna. Return to your hotel in the afternoon and spend the remainder of the day at leisure. You will have the option to return to the Kruger National Park to absorb the tranquil beauty of an evening safari (additional charge).
Today we continue to Johannesburg via the magnificent Panorama Route. The most spectacular stretch of the Panorama Route is the Blyde River Canyon. From many well-positioned vantage points one has a view of the 33 km long gorge, which starts at "Bourke's Luck Potholes" and ends at the "Three Rondavels". Time and weather permitting, we also stop at God’s Window.
Morning private transfer to the airport for your flight to Bulawayo Airport (flight not included).. Arriving here, a transfer brings you to your hotel in Matobo National Park where all meals, local brand drinks, two safari activities daily are included.

This morning we have a private transfer to the oldest and largest national park in Zimbabwe, the 14 650km2 Hwange National Park lies in the north west of the country on the ancient animal migration routes towards Chobe and the Linyanti of northern Botswana. Located in a private concession of 2,400 hectares of prime land adjoining the eastern region of the Hwange National Park, is Ivory Lodge “Place of the Elephants” and this is your residence for tonight and tomorrow.
Hwange National Park is one of Africa's finest havens for wildlife and is home to vast herds of elephant, buffalo, zebra and has a very large concentration of giraffe. It is also home to many predators and endangered species plus very large and varied bird life. The whole of today is spent exploring this magnificent park on the lodges included game viewing activities.
Today we journey to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and your hotel with a break journey en-route at the Hwange Main Camp along the way. This afternoon you are transferred to the jetty, where you board a comfortable vessel with plenty of seating, open sides and a canopied roof. From here you cruise along towards Palm lsland and Kandahar lsland to enjoy a picturesque African sunset on the Zambezi River. This cruise is a superb way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the River, with the opportunity to see a variety of game; including hippo, crocodile, elephant and many different bird species.
Today enjoy a halfday elephant Safari. For this exciting excursion, you are transferred to the Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary, which is situated within the Victoria Falls National Park. You will find that a strong emphasis is placed on an Elephant experience rather than just an Elephant ride, and you are encouraged to interact with the Elephants and gain a better insight into the history and the long term objectives of Wild Horizons elephant back safaris. The afternoon is free for many activities you can book and pay for locally here: Helicopter Flights, Whitewater Rafting, Canoeing, Bungi-Jumping, Boat Cruises or Horse Riding.
