Day 1: Nairobi

Welcome to Nairobi and the start of your exclusive African Odyssey! Arriving into Nairobi Airport our friendly local team are on hand to meet you, assist with bags and transfer you to your hotel the Giraffe Manor.

Day 2: Nairobi

Today is a day to simply get over the jet lag and enjoy the company of our long necked friends at the hotel!

Day 3: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru

This morning after breakfast you depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a stop for lunch and to admire the views at Thompson's Falls. Arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park late afternoon, enjoy a game drive before checking into your accommodation.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for the thousands of lesser and greater flamingos that flock to this soda lake’s edge. The numbers vary depending on the water level, and when it’s low, the lake almost turns pink. A truly spectacular sight! The park was also established as a sanctuary for black and white rhino, which are often seen. Today enjoy seeing this spectacular sight as well as the resident wildlife as you head out on morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha

This morning we move onto explore Lake Naivasha and what is considered the best kept secret of Naivasha Crescent Island where the shores host abundant birdlife especially huge numbers of pelicans, cormorants and fish-eagles with their haunting cry.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara N.P.

This morning, after breakfast you will set off for what is possibly Africa's and the world's most famous game park, the Masai Mara. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after which you will take an afternoon game drive. Then return to your lodge in the late afternoon, in time to enjoy a relaxing sun downer.

Day 7: Masai Mara N.P.

Rise early if you'd like to enjoy the option of a balloon safari across the Masai Mara. Take off in the crisp morning air, only to experience a game-viewing adventure with an entirely different perspective. As you silently float across the plains, forest and rivers for approximately an hour, your journey comes to end back on land but accompanied with a fully cooked champagne breakfast. Today enjoy more game viewing in the morning and late afternoon. The Masai Mara is most famous for its large population of big cats. All members of the big five are also present in the Masai Mara and other species from hippos, zebra, antelope, gazelle, giraffe, impala, hyena and more.

Day 8: Masai Mara N.P.

Enjoy a further day exploring Masai Mara National Park on your included game drives seeing the incredible animal life that lives in abundance.

Day 9: Masai Mara N.P. - Arusha

After breakfast we drive to the airstrip and catch a flight to Arusha in Tanzania to begin the next leg of our journey. Arriving here, we transfer you to your lodge situated in Arusha National Park.

Days 10-11: Arusha

Spend today and tomorrow in the National Park relaxing in the forest ambience the park is famous for its spectacular landscapes and its rich flora. Although the surrounding countryside is rather dry, the park itself is ever green throughout the year. Offering three different and impressive natural habitats. Waterfalls and lakes, steep cliffs and gorges, swamps and waterholes, all provide great opportunities to encounter wildlife all of which you will get out to explore today and tomorrow.

Day 12: Arusha - Ngorongoro Crater

We spend the morning on a game drive through Tarangire National Park with its shimmering acacia sands, old baobab trees, Masai tribes and herds of elephant. In the dry season of July - October, Tarangire National Park surpasses the Serengeti on terms of animal concentration as big herds begin to congregate around the Tarangire River. In the afternoon we continue on to Karatu and our lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day 13: Ngorongoro Crater

Today we head to the Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the crater floor itself, for an exciting game drive. We spend the morning exploring this fascinating wildlife amphitheatre, home to nearly 25,000 animals, which remain in the crater due to the constant supply of water from the springs.

Day 14: Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti N.P.

Today you will drive to Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed as one of the 7 natural world wonders of modern time, the Serengeti National Park. With an enroute game drive and a picnic lunch at the Olduvai Gorge, you will make your way to your accommodation for the next two nights. Chill out in the afternoon along side the swimming pool, the perfect opportunity to cool off after a hot and dusty game drive.

Days 15-16: Serengeti N.P.

There’s nothing like an early morning start for today and tomorrow allowing you to experience one of the most ultimate game viewing experiences. After a hot cup of tea or coffee you will soon be wide-awake as you watch wildlife at its most active time. After lunch at camp, return to the parks open plains in search for more wildlife viewing and experiences. As the evening light approaches, you will be thoroughly rewarded with all you game spotting with sundowners at a picturesque location in the park.

Day 17: Serengeti N.P. - Zanzibar

This morning we fly to Arusha on light aircraft which is a thrilling experience in itself. In Arusha our driver will take you for lunch before you catch your flight to Zanzibar for a taste of Paradise.

Days 18-20: Zanzibar

Spend the next few days at your leisure relaxing here in paradise. We would recommend to book any tours here locally with the hotel as by this point you may just want to relax and tours are very easy to organize here in Zanzibar.

Day 21: Zanzibar - Johannesburg

This morning we do have a full day of travel ahead we transfer you to Zanzibar Airport where we assist with check into your flight destined for Johannesburg South Africa. Arriving into South Africa, the airport offers a free shuttle you will see the reps there waiting and you can catch it to your hotel to rest up for the night.

Day 22: Johannesburg - Victoria Falls

This morning return to the airport with the hotels shuttle service and catch the flight to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival at Victoria Falls airport you will be met by our local team and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 23: Victoria Falls

Enjoy a morning or afternoon tour of the falls and surrounding area. You’ll walk through the rainforest, learn the history of the Falls and get soaked in the massive spray. Raincoats and protective bags are provided. This evening we will enjoy a tranquil boat ride on the Zambezi River for dinner and a drink or two.

Day 24: Victoria Falls

Today we have arranged a special array of activities in the morning we head out on an elephant back safari into the forest and then experience walking with lions literally at a nearby sanctuary.

Enjoy a free day to relax and reflect on your amazing journey through Africa.

Day 26: Victoria Falls

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to Victoria Falls Airport in time for your flight back home.
