Day 1: Johannesburg

Welcome to Johannesburg and the start of your adventure with On the Go Tours. We'll be there at the airport to collect you and transfer you to your hotel where the remainder of the day can be spent at leisure. Depending on your arrival time, why not opt for an afternoon city tour of Johannesburg?

Day 2: Johannesburg - Victoria Falls

This morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Victoria Falls (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED). On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe you will be met and transferred to your Lodge. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Victoria Falls

Zimbabwe is home to arguably the world’s most beautiful precipice, UNESCO-listed Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls, described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800’s as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ - ‘the smoke that thunders’, is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. You have a tour of the Falls Inc entry fees and also a 12-13 Minute Helicopter Scenic Flight excluding park fees.

Day 4: Victoria Falls - Johannesburg

This morning we will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Johannesburg (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED). On arrival transfer to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Johannesburg - Kruger N.P.

On arrival we will transfer you to the Kruger National Park (approx 5.5 hrs by road). Established in 1898 to protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, this national park of nearly 2 million hectares, is unrivalled in the diversity of its life forms and a world leader in advanced environmental management techniques and policies. It’s here that one can (hopefully!) view the Big Five in abundance. Get your cameras ready!

Days 6-7: Kruger N.P.

Kruger is the flagship of Africa and South Africa’s game reserves, offering an exceptional safari experience. Spend the next two days enjoying full day game drives in the National Park. You will also have time to sit back, relax at your lodge and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and sounds of the wild!

Day 8: Kruger N.P. - Port Elizabeth

Today we will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Port Elizabeth (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED). Upon arrival at the International Airport your On the Go representative will meet you. You will be given your information packs with maps and brochures before you collect your rental vehicle and drive to where your hotel is situated in Port Elizabeth.

Day 9: Port Elizabeth - Plettenberg Bay

Drive to the fashionable coastal town of Plettenberg Bay. Plettenberg Bay boasts miles of beautiful sweeping golden beaches, a dramatic rocky peninsula and is one of the world’s best spots for Whale Watching. We highly recommend an Ocean Safari in Plettenberg Bay in search of Bottlenose and rare Indo-Pacific Humpback dolphins, as well as certain shark and whale species. Also consider visiting Monkeyland where a monkey safari within a lush indigenous forest is conducted by an experienced game ranger. Or visit the Birds of Eden, a bird sanctuary located within a two hectare dome spanning a gorge of forest. (BOOK AND PAY FOR EXCURSIONS LOCALLY - NOT INCLUDED)

Day 10: Plettenberg Bay - Knysna

Drive to the picturesque town of Knysna - South Africa’s ‘Oyster Capital’, situated between lush forests and a peaceful estuary. It is truly one of the most scenic towns in South Africa, offering many activities and attractions, gourmet restaurants, arts and crafts.

Day 11: Knysna - Oudtshoorn

Make your way to Klein Karoo’s capital - Oudtshoorn. Here you can visit the Safari Ostrich Ranch for a guided tour and visit the Cango Caves, where a guided tour allows you to explore the ancient stalagmites and stalactites and visit endangered animals at the Cango Wildlife Ranch. Klein Karoo is the easternmost wine producing region in the country, situated between spectacular mountain ranges. (BOOK AND PAY FOR EXCURSIONS LOCALLY - NOT INCLUDED)

Day 12: Oudtshoorn - Cape Town

Today drive to Cape Town stopping en route at the wine producing region of Swellendam, South Africa’s third oldest town, which lies at the foot of the beautiful Langeberg mountains

Days 13-14: Cape Town

The next two days are free for you to explore Cape Town. Maybe visit the V & A Waterfront and shop to your heart’s content, or book one of the optional excursions available - see the Enhance your Holiday page for details.

Head to Cape Town airport and drop off your rental vehicle before your flight home.
