We will pick you up from Kilimanjaro airport and transfer you to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is tucked below the majesty of the Rift Valley wall and the white-hot shores of an ancient soda lake on the other. Famous for its tree-climbing lions, lying languidly among the branches in the heat of the day, and the dazzling variety of birds, you will have the afternoon to explore this beautiful park.
After breakfast, morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, afternoon return to the lodge for lunch After lunch depart and drive to the Serengeti National Park where you will stay overnight.
There’s nothing like an early morning start allowing you to experience one of the most ultimate game viewing sessions. The cat family love to make appearances in the morning, while the early morning light makes photographing herds of wildlife a photographer’s dream. After lunch at camp, return to the parks open plains in search for more wildlife viewing and experiences.
Say goodbye to the enchanting Serengeti National Park and hello to another natural wonder, the Ngorongoro Crater. This incredible formation is part of the larger Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which covers more than 8300 square kilometres. The actual crater is 260 square kilometres and 620m deep. You will be staying at the Ngorongoro Farm House, an exclusive lodge facing the Oldeani Volcano, in Ololdukan, located on a 500 acre coffee farm and only a short drive from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Today you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the crater floor itself, for a game drive. Spend the morning exploring this fascinating wildlife amphitheater. Home to nearly 25,000 animals, which remain in the crater due to the constant supply of water from the springs. There is a very good chance of spotting the big five: lion, elephant, endangered black rhino, buffalo and leopard plus countless other African mammal species. This caldera, formed by a volcano sinking, hosts a unique cross-section of eco-systems, from Soda Lake to savannah and is home to almost every major species of African mammal.
After breakfast we leave for Tarangire National Park (140km, 3 hours). This is the classic Africa of lore with shimmering acacia stands, old baobab trees, Masai tribes and herds of elephant.
