Day 1: Nairobi

On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta international Airport, you will be met by a representative and after a short briefing you will be transferred to your Hotel Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya and the starting point for many safaris. Just over a century ago Nairobi was little more than a water depot for the notorious ‘Lunatic Express’. Nairobi which means ‘cool water’ in the language of the Masai is now the hub for all of East Africa’s business. Today the city’s skyline bristles with skyscrapers; its modernity and spaciousness surprising many first time visitors. Since it was founded little over a century ago the city has grown at a unimaginable rate into one of the continent’s largest cities. As a result of this the city does have its problems, traffic being one of them. This problem has pushed travellers to the suburbs of the city is search of beautiful accommodation.

Day 2: Nairobi

After breakfast a driver Guide will pick you up and transfer you to Nairobi National Park animal orphanage. Later this evening you shall go to the Carnivore restaurant for a Welcome dinner.

Day 3: Nairobi

After breakfast you shall be transferred to JKIA for your flight to Entebbe with Air Uganda (U7 203) departing at 0750hrs to arrive at 0900hrs. Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by our guest relations officer and transferred to your lodge.

Day 4:

After your breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. Later drive to Mbarara for lunch at Agip Motel. Later proceed to Bwindi. Drive through the Switzerland of Africa area known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. With all the volcanic activity in this area the scenic beauty is breath-taking. You shall arrive at the Lodge in the evening.

Day 5:

Wake up and prepare for the unforgettable experience! After an early breakfast transfer to the park HQs for pre-Gorilla tracking briefing then set off into the forest. You will be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla tracking begins. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young. The trekking can take from 1 to 8 hours. The terrain is rough and at times muddy. Although the hike is physically demanding the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make the trekking worthwhile.

Day 6:

After breakfast check out of the lodge and transfer to Lake Mburo National park. This is one of the smallest parks in Uganda underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years. It offers a great variety of wildlife including zebra, leopard, various antelope and hippo – as well as prolific birdlife. Lake Mburo is located in western Uganda near Mbarara, the 260 km² Lake Mburo National Park has a markedly different fauna; it is the best, only, place in Uganda where one can see the cape Eland, Zebra, Topi and Impala (for which Kampala is named). Hippos, crocodiles and a variety of water birds are also found in the five lakes within the park.

Day 7: - Nairobi

After breakfast, check out of the lodge for an early morning game drive before transferring back to Entebbe arriving late afternoon for your international flight Air Uganda (U7 204) departing at 1920hrs to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. On arrival at the Jomo Kenya international Airport, you will be met by a representative and given a short Safari briefing then transferred to your Hotel.

Day 8: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru

This morning after an early breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National park arriving for lunch at your camp. In the afternoon, you will have a game drive in the Lake Nakuru national park, returning to your camp for dinner. The area around Lake Nakuru Park has recently been widened to accommodate a rhino sanctuary - making it one of the largest concentrations of these animals in the country. Other species commonly found in this beautiful and intimate park include waterbuck, Rothschild’s giraffe and giant python, with lions and leopards making the occasional appearance.

Day 9: Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha

This morning after an early breakfast, depart for Lake Bogoria National park with picnic lunch boxes. In the afternoon, you will have a game drive before departing for Lake Naivasha Simba lodge. Lake Bogoria lies off the beaten track and is a small lake lined with spouting geysers and bubbling geothermal pools. The soda waters of the lake attract massive flocks of migrating flamingo and although it is in the heart of an arid landscape, the fresh water springs attract wildlife like gazelle, zebra and an abundance of birdlife.

Day 10: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara N.P.

After breakfast you will be driven across the floor of the Great Rift Valley, the longest rift in the crust of the earth, to Masai Mara where you will arrive for lunch at Mara Simba Lodge. You will spend three nights in this natural paradise among zebra, wilderbeest, giraffe, buffalo, elephant, antelope and gazelle. No trip to Kenya would be complete without a visit to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This iconic game reserve is Kenya’s biggest draw card, instantly recognisable from films and nature documentaries. It is known mainly for its exceptional population of big cats, game, and the annual Great Migration of around one and a half million zebras, gazelles, and wilder beasts from the Serengeti every year between July to October.

Day 11: Masai Mara N.P.

Rise early and take the option of a balloon safari (not included in cost) across the Masai Mara. Take off in the crisp morning air, only to experience a game-viewing adventure with an entirely different perspective. Morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara Reserve.

Day 12: Masai Mara N.P. - Serengeti N.P.

Sunrise marks your final morning in the Masai Mara. After breakfast you will be taken on a final game drive as you make your way to the airstrip with picnic lunches, for your flight to Migori departing at 1130 hrs to arrive at 1200 hrs. Pick up clients at Migori airstrip and drive to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch boxes for game drive on route No visit to Tanzania would be complete without an excursion to the famed Serengeti National Park. It is from here that massive concentrations of wildebeest, zebras and other animals commence the annual Great Migration in search of pastures new, providing one of the greatest natural spectacles to be found anywhere in the world.

Day 14: Serengeti N.P. - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch boxes and drive to Ngorongoro Highland game drive on route. The Ngorongoro crater and conservation area ranks right up there among Africa’s most popular wildlife destinations. Almost everyone wants to come here and see this amazing natural phenomenon on their trip to Tanzania - and rightly so.

Day 16: Ngorongoro Crater - Zanzibar

After breakfast, depart and drive back to Arusha. Lunch at Shanga, after lunch transfer to Arusha airport for your schedule flight to Zanzibar depart at 1400hrs arrive Zanzibar airport at 1520hrs, you shall be met and transferred to the hotel.

Days 17-20: Zanzibar

Think of an exotic island and you'll probably be thinking of Zanzibar. This ancient island was once ruled by sultans and slave traders and served as a stepping stone into the African continent for missionaries and explorers. Today this jewel in the Indian Ocean attracts visitor’s intent on discovering the white sandy beaches, tropical forests and colourful coral reefs while staying at one of the quality Zanzibar beach resorts.

Day 21: Zanzibar

After breakfast, morning at leisure, transfer to Zanzibar airport for your flight to Nairobi.
