Day 1: Nairobi

Welcome to Kenya! Late afternoon arrival into Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi - Samburu N.R.

After breakfast you drive North to Samburu National Reserve. You will arrive in time for a leisurely lunch and check in at your lodge before taking an afternoon game drive. Samburu National Reserve is well known for its peaceful atmosphere. Due to the river Uaso Nyiro running through the reserve a great deal of wildlife is attracted to the area including all three big cats - lions, cheetahs and leopards - as well as elephants, buffalo, hippopotamus, zebra, impala and gazelle and a huge population of crocodiles. Samburu is also famous for being one of the areas where conservationists George Adamson and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the lioness, made famous by the book and the film 'Born Free'.

Day 3: Samburu N.R.

Today enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Samburu National Park.

Day 4: Samburu N.R. - Lake Nakuru

This morning after breakfast you depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a stop at Thompson Falls Lodge. After enjoying a picnic lunch, you will proceed to Lake Nakuru Lodge with game viewing on route. The park also offers some of the best opportunity of seeing the very rare rhino as well as the elusive leopard.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara N.P.

This morning, after breakfast you will set off for what is possibly Africa's and the world's most famous game park, the Masai Mara. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after which you will take an afternoon game drive. Then return to your lodge in the late afternoon, in time to enjoy a relaxing sun downer.

Days 6-7: Masai Mara N.P.

Over the following two days you will make the most of your stay in Masai Mara National Park with morning and afternoon game drives with free time to relax in the evening. The Masai Mara is most famous for its large population of big cats. All members of the big five are also present in the Masai Mara and other species from hippos, zebra, antelope, gazelle, giraffe, impala, hyena and more. The area is a photographers dream, you will not be disappointed.

Day 8: Masai Mara N.P.

This morning enjoy your final early morning game drive. After lunch at the Simba Mara Lodge, we will drive you back to Nairobi. Before your onward transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, enjoy dinner at the aptly named Carnivore Restaurant.
