Day 1: Nairobi

On arrival at the Jomo Kenya international Airport, you will be met by our representative and given a short Safari briefing then transferred to your Hotel for Overnight. Overnight Nairobi

Day 2: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru

Leaving the hustle and bustle of Nairobi we head towards our first overnight stop at Lake Nakuru National Park, The park was established as a sanctuary for black and white rhino, which are often seen. After lunch, we spend the afternoon searching for these pre-historic looking beasts as well as the elusive leopard, encountering buffalo, giraffe, various antelope and the occasional hippo along the way. Day 3: Lake Nakuru

After breakfast; head out on a morning game drive. The first hours of the day are usually the best time to spot predators that spend the night out hunting for their prey. With a little luck, we may even spot one of the resident leopards! After lunch, we head out on an afternoon game drive, returning to the acmp for dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara N.P.

Leaving the Great Rift behind today you will drive to Kenya’s famed Masai Mara. Mara Fig Tree Camp will play host to you over the next couple of days while you experience the magic of the Masai Mara for yourself. The adventure begins as soon as you arrive at the park gates and go straight into your first game drive as you make your way to the lodge. Get ready to see plenty of game as you make your way through the immense landscapes. Arriving at the camp, lunch will be prepared for you and there will then be time for an afternoon siesta or perhaps a dip in the pool. An evening game drive is on offer, followed by a drink as you watch the Mara’s spectacular sunset, rounding off another fabulous day. Overnight Masai Mara.

Day 5: Masai Mara N.P.

Today, if you want to catch the animals at their most active, you will get up at sunrise. Fingers crossed, you may even spot a leopard, the most elusive of the Big 5. After your game drive breakfast is served overlooking the gardens and the park. Following this you can choose to spend the morning relaxing or else visit a local Masai village to get a better understanding of their culture and way of life. Following lunch, in the late afternoon, you will be offered the chance to go on one final leisurely game drive. As it’s your last evening on safari you can choose to spend a little longer out there, perhaps finding a spot facing the sunset from which you can toast your Kenyan adventure. Overnight Masai Mara

Day 6: Masai Mara N.P. - Kisii

After breakfast we leave the Masai Mara and head to Kisii/Kericho passing through the picturesque tea plantations along the way. These towns are the main commercial centres in the Gusii Highlands, where cash crops like tea and coffee thrive because of its equatorial climate. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. Overnight Kisii

Day 7: Kisii - Lake Victoria

After breakfast, depart with picnic lunches and head south into Tanzania, where you will be dropped off at Sirare border. After border formalities, our drive takes us through the scenic granite landscapes adjacent to Africa’s largest lake – Lake Victoria. We continue along the tarmac road until we reach the lovely setting of Spekes Bay. We spend the night at the Spekes Bay Lodge on the Shores of Lake Victoria.

Day 8: Lake Victoria - Serengeti N.P.

Today we head to the Serengeti National Park, entering the park in the morning and having a game drive with a picnic lunch. The Serengeti is famous for its enormous concentration of game and for the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelles. The abundance of plains game in this area is truly astounding. We enter the park through the lesser travelled western corridor and game drive en-route to our campsite in the centre of the park. Tonight we will camp in the comfortable Kati Kati Camp. The camp is a luxurious tent with proper beds in a private location in the Serengeti surrounded by the sounds of the African bushveld, pierced only by the calls of the nocturnal wildlife. Day 9: Serengeti N.P.

Today we will have a full day to explore the magnificent Serengeti. Spend the morning exploring the famous Moru Kopjes home to lions and leopards as well as many of the plains game. In the afternoon you could head for the Central Serenegeti and the Seronera River, a life line for many resident animals. Return to camp for dinner and overnight. Overnight Serengeti

Day 10: Serengeti N.P. - Ngorongoro Crater

After an early start we pack up our camp and continue our game drive through the Serengeti National Park. With some luck, we may see some of Africa’s ‘Big 5’! We cross from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation in the mid morning with a descent into the Crater at lunch time. The Ngorongoro Crater with its 600 m high walls and 20 km width is a natural marvel. The Crater’s rim offers spectacular views, but the true scale of this caldera is only appreciated from the floor itself. It is home to nearly every species of African animal and offers a chance to view an incredible concentration of East African mammals. After spending the morning game driving in The Crater we continue to our accommodation. Overnight Ngorongoro

Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater - Mt. Kilimanjaro & Moshi

Karatu – Usambara Mts. This morning we continue our journey towards Arusha and onto the town of Moshi situated at the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest mountain. Moshi is the base for Mount Kilimanjaro climbing expeditions, and weather permitting; we may even catch a glimpse of this magical mountain’s snowy summit - a photo opportunity not to be missed! We pass through vast sisal plantations surrounded by The Usambara Mountains and drive a short way up the mountain to a lodge located in the lush forest of the mountains. Time depending we can take an afternoon walk within the woods. Overnight – Mullers Mountain Lodge

Day 12: Mt. Kilimanjaro & Moshi - Dar es Salaam

Usambara - Dar es Salaam. Today we continue on to Dar es Salaam. Travelling through lush scenery and palm trees, we near the warm Indian Ocean. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam we make our way to our lovely seaside campsite and prepare for our departure to Zanzibar the next morning. Overnight Dar es Salaam

Days 13-15: Dar es Salaam - Zanzibar

Dar es Salaam – Zanzibar. A ferry from Dar Es Salaam takes us to ‘Spice Island’, where we have the option to spend the next three nights. Zanzibar is steeped in history and offers a wealth of experiences. Wander the streets of Stone Town, take an excursion around a spice plantation or simply laze on one of the pristine white sandy beaches, the choice is yours!

Day 16: Zanzibar

Zanzibar - Dar es Salaam. Leaving Zanzibar in the afternoon, we return to the mainland. Arrival back to Dar is usually in the late afternoon, with a transfer to Dar Airport
