This morning will begin with a visit the to Karen Blixen Museum and the Giraffe Centre before setting off down the Rift Valley where some fantastic photo opportunity present themselves - the views from the top of the escarpment are stunning. We will arrive at the lodge in time for a mid-morning check in. After lunch take a walk down to the lake and see if you can spot any hippo wallowing in the waters. Naivasha is also home to a huge variety of birds and one of the Lodge's resident bird specialists will be happy to take you on a guided walk. For those wishing to get closer to nature, a boat trip to Crescent Island is a fantastic option (additional cost).

Day 3: Lake Naivasha

After a good night’s sleep you will be ready for a full on day. Lake Nakuru National Park is on the itinerary for today. The park's central lake is covered almost all year round with a slight pink tinge thanks to its many resident flamingo. Lunch has been arranged at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge which overlooks the park. A lovely way to enjoy lunch. After an afternoon game drive you will be transferred back to Naivasha in time for a lake walk before the sun starts to set on yet another action packed day.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara N.P.

This morning it’s an early start as we leave for the Masai Mara National Reserve. The magic of the Mara becomes clear as soon as we enter the Reserve's gates. The vast open plains are home to some of the most spectacular wildlife documentaries and photos. After you have checked in and enjoyed lunch you may want to take some time to unpack and settle in. In any case we suggest you wait until the heat of the day has begun to subside until you head out on your first game drive. Back at the Lodge dinner will be served after pre-dinner drinks in the Lodge's main area. A fun way to meet other guests and discuss the day’s events.

Day 5: Masai Mara N.P.

Another fabulous day in the Masai Mara awaits as we wake early ready for an early morning game drive. Early mornings are one of the best times to view game in the Mara as the animals are at their most active before the heat of the day kicks in. Back at the Lodge breakfast will be waiting for us on our return. After breakfast a morning relaxing. After lunch another game drive out in the Reserve spotting and ticking off some of those must see animals from your list is a rewarding way to spend the afternoon before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 6: Masai Mara N.P.

Today is your last day in the Masai Mara and after an early morning game drive an educational visit to a local Masai Village (additional cost) might be an interesting way to spend the rest of your morning. Learn about the Masai way of life and explore a traditional Masai Manyatta before returning to the lodge in time for a late lunch and an afternoon of relaxing before heading out on our last afternoon game drive of our safari.
