Today begins the journey as you will be transferred across the border to Chobe Game Lodge in neighbouring Botswana. Game viewing on a Chobe Sunset River Cruise is a particular highlight that you will enjoy this evening after check in.
Spend today and tomorrow going in search of wildlife on daily game drives, spot wildlife on a Chobe River boat cruise and enjoy some after dinner stargazing.
This morning we transfer to Kasane Airport for a short flight to Camp Okavango on Nxaragha Island, which is located within the pristine Moremi Game Reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta. This remote camp is surrounded by water you will experience this first hand today as you venture by boat to spot the resident wildlife. (OVERNIGHT AT THE Camp Okavango)
Over the next two days experienced guides will navigate you through the tranquil Delta waterways by mokoro or motor boat and take you on guided nature walks with bird watching at a secluded hide. (OVERNIGHTS AT THE Camp Okavango)
Leaving the delta behind fly to Maun Airport, where you will then take a road transfer to Meno A Kwena Camp in the Makgadigadi Pans, here you'll spend the next two nights. (OVERNIGHT AT THE Meno A Kwena)
The Kalahari Salt Pans in Makgadigadi & Naxi Pan National Park are all that remain of an ancient great central Botswana lake that covered the Kalahari several million years ago. Spend today and tomorrow exploring these areas in depth with the expert guides on hand at the lodge. (OVERNIGHT AT THE Meno A Kwena)
After a final more wildlife safari we head back to Maun Airport where we assist your embarking the Air Namibia Flight to Windhoek (2 flights per week Friday and Sunday) Arriving into Windhoek, meet with our local team who will take you to your hotel.
This morning we depart Windhoek, and drive via Rehoboth into the Kalahari Desert. On arrival, depart on a scenic sunset drive in open safari vehicles to see the animals that live in the region which include brown hyenas, lions, meerkats, several species of antelope and many species of bird and reptile.
We continue our drive through the Kalahari and visit the Quivertree Forest near Keetmanshop. The quiver tree or 'Kokerboom' is indigenous to this hot and dry area. We can stop for lunch in Keetmanshop before driving to see Naute Dam, the Fish River Canyon's spectacular northern fringes then continue to your lodge situated not d#far from the canyon itself.
At 161 km long, 27 km wide and about 550 m deep, it’s the second largest canyon in the world, after breakfast depart on a full day tour descending down into the canyon with a 4x4 vehicle. Bush lunch on the banks of the Fish River. Return to the lodge for dinner.
Today we depart for Aus at the edge of the Succulent Karoo Desert – one of the 20 most important biomes in the world. This evening, enjoy a sunset nature drive.
Today we travel north into one of the oldest deserts on earth, the Namib Desert, and arrive in the late afternoon. Enjoy a packed lunch en-route.
Today and tomorrow you will spend exploring Namib-Naukluft Park on your included game drives or nature walks we tend to enter the park daily at sunrise, while the temperature is still mild and when the dune contrasts are at their best, we will include amongst other things a trip to see Dune 45 and the petrified forest at Dead Vle.
Today you drive via the breathtaking Khomas Hochland mountains to Windhoek where you can enjoy your final evening in Namibia.
Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
