Welcome to Tanzania! You will be met at Kilimanjaro airport by our local representative and taken to the Arusha Hotel for breakfast. Then your professional driver/guide meets you and it is time to head to the stunning landscape of the mighty Serengeti National Park, renowned for its annual migration of wildebeests searching for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game viewing in Africa.
There’s nothing like an early morning start allowing you to experience one of the most ultimate game viewing sessions. The cat family love to make appearances in the morning, while the early morning light makes photographing herds of wildlife a photographer’s dream. After lunch at camp, return to the parks open plains in search for more wildlife viewing and experiences.
Today you will set off on a full day game drive taking a picnic lunch with you. You will have more time to explore a larger area of the Serengeti, with its various landscapes, from savannahs, forests, dry river beds and rocky kopjes, all of which offering a better environment for a whole range of animals. Your picnic lunch will be enjoyed in a secluded spot in the park among the wildlife. Return to your lodge in the late afternoon, in time to enjoy a relaxing sun downer on your verandah.
Say goodbye to the enchanting Serengeti National Park and hello to another natural wonder, the Ngorongoro Crater. This incredible formation is part of the larger Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which covers more than 8300 square kilometres. The actual crater is 260 square kilometres and 620m deep.
Today you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the crater floor itself, for a game drive. Spend the morning exploring this fascinating wildlife amphitheater. Home to nearly 25,000 animals, which remain in the crater due to the constant supply of water from the springs. There is a very good chance of spotting the big five: lion, elephant, endangered black rhino, buffalo and leopard plus countless other African mammal species. Late this afternoon we head to KIA lodge at the airport and check you into the hotel.
In the early hours today we will transfer you to the airport in time for your departure flight.
