Lazing in the sunshine

Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu N.R.

Welcome to Kenya! This morning our driver/guide will meet you and drive you north to Samburu National Reserve. As you enter the reserve, two beautiful mountains, Koitogor and Ololokwe present themselves forming the perfect background to your safari. Large herds of elephants, plentiful big cats, reticulated giraffes, buffalo and gerenuks also form part of the reserve’s large and diverse wildlife population. You will arrive at your lodge for lunch, and in the afternoon, go on your first safari drive in Samburu.

Day 2: Samburu N.R.

Sleep in or rise early, but we recommend getting out into bush first thing to experience prime wildlife activity. As you continue with your game drive through this scenically and wildlife dramatic reserve, watch out for the unique Grevy’s zebra or Beisa Oryx, both species only found north of the equator. Find relief from the hot African sun back at the lodge as you chill-out in the afternoon. As the day cools, you shall return to the reserve for one last game drive.

Day 3: Samburu N.R. - Lake Nakuru

This morning after breakfast you depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a stop for lunch at Thompson Falls Lodge. After which you will proceed to Lake Nakuru Lodge with game viewing on route. Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for its flamingo rimmed lake in the centre. The park also offers some of the best opportunity of seeing the very rare rhino as well as the elusive leopard.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Amboseli

This morning you will be transferred to Amboseli National Park, best known for its unrivalled views of Kilimanjaro and the local elephant population. There are over 1000 elephants in the parks eco-system, featuring some of the largest in Africa. Arrive just in time for lunch and later take an afternoon game drive through the park grounds.

Day 5: Amboseli

After a traditional breakfast, depart in the early morning for your first game drive of the day. Without a doubt, Amboseli is a photographer’s paradise with the snows of Kilimanjaro, white and crystalline forming a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya’ most spectacular displays of wildlife – lion, elephant, rhino, cheetah buffalo and a host of plain’s game. Returning back to the lodge for lunch, you will then proceed to the plains late in the afternoon for further game viewing.

Day 6: Amboseli

This morning we drive you back to Nairobi, to drop you off at your group tour pre departure hotel.
