Day 1: Mt. Kilimanjaro & Moshi

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel ready for the start of the Tanzania Wildlife Week Lodge Safai

Day 2: Mt. Kilimanjaro & Moshi - Karatu

Tanzania Wildlife Week Lodge Safari. We spend the morning on a game drive through Tarangire National Park with its shimmering acacia sands, old baobab trees, Masai tribes and herds of elephant. In the dry season of July - October, Tarangire National Park surpasses the Serengeto on terms of animal concentration as big herds begin to congregate around the Tarangire River. In the afternoon we continue on to Karatu and our lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day 3: Karatu - Serengeti N.P.

Tanzania Wildlife Week Lodge Safari. Today you will set off on a full day game drive taking a picnic lunch with you. You will have more time to explore a larger area of the Serengeti, with its various landscapes, from savannahs, forests, dry river beds and rocky kopjes, all of which offering a better environment for a whole range of animals. Your picnic lunch will be enjoyed in a secluded spot in the park among the wildlife. Return to your lodge in the late afternoon, in time to enjoy a relaxing sun downer

Day 4: Serengeti N.P.

Tanzania Wildlife Week Lodge Safari. There’s nothing like an early morning start allowing you to experience one of the most ultimate game viewing sessions. The cat family love to make appearances in the morning, while the early morning light makes photographing herds of wildlife a photographer’s dream. After lunch at camp, return to the park's open plains in search for more wildlife viewing and experiences. As the evening light approaches, you will have sundowners at a picturesque location in the park.

Day 5: Serengeti N.P. - Ngorongoro Crater

Tanzania Wildlife Week Lodge Safari. We make our way back to the Ngorongoro Highlands visiting Olduvai Gorge en route. The gorge is one of the most important prehistoricsites in the world, where a distant ancestor of man was found, which is believed to be 1.8 million years old.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

Tanzania Wildlife Week Lodge Safari. Today you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the crater floor itself, for a game drive. Spend the morning exploring this fascinating wildlife amphitheater. Home to nearly 25,000 animals, which remain in the crater due to the constant supply of water from the springs. There is a very good chance of spotting the big five: lion, elephant, endangered black rhino, buffalo and leopard plus countless other African mammal species. This caldera, formed by a volcano sinking, hosts a unique cross-section of eco-systems, from Soda Lake to savannah and is home to almost every major species of African mammal.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater - Zanzibar

Tanzania Wildlife Week Lodge Safari. This morning we enjoy a final game drive at Lake Manyara National Park before being transferred back to Kilimanjaro Airport for the flight to Zanzibar. On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel.

Days 8-13: Zanzibar

Spend the next six days at leisure, relaxing on the beautiful white sands and soaking up the sunshine. For those feeling active, there's a wide range of excursions available locally. Perhaps opt for a spot of snorkelling or scuba diving to see the incredible coral reefs teeming with exotic fish and perhaps the odd dolphin in the azure waters.

Day 14: Zanzibar

Your African adventure comes to an end today. We will transfer you to the airport in time for your departure flight.
