German influence in Swakopmund

Day 1: Swakopmund

On arrival at the Walvis Bay Airport you will be met by a driver and transferred to your hotel in Swakopmund. You have the afternoon to explore town on foot. In the late afternoon you will be met by your pilot-guide for the rest of your Safari. Enjoy dinner together in a local seafood restaurant.

Day 2: Swakopmund

After breakfast you will depart to Walvis Bay to participate in a fun filled boat cruise in the harbor area. Go past several fishing boats, past the oyster platforms towards the seal colonies at Pelican Point. Cruise back to the harbor area via the Guano platforms and anchor somewhere quet where you will enjoy a snack lunch with fresh oysters and sparkling wine. Transfer to Swakopmund airfield in time for your filght to Purros. You will depart Swakopmund and fly north along the Atlantic coastline towards Heties Bay and the Cape Fur Seal colony at Cape Cross. Fly north along the Skeleton coast and see this magnificent landscape all the way up to Terrace Bay before you turn inland and cross into Kaokoveld and land at Purros.

Day 3:

Kaokoveld / Okahirongo - Elephant Lodge Explore the true untouched wilderness area of the Purros Valley in an open safari vehicle and discover the area’s bountiful surprises in terms of wildlife. Game drives take you through lushly vegetated riverbeds and scraggy mountains, home to a versatile and adapted flora and fauna. Our game drives aim at finding the rare desert adapted Elephants and one might catch a sight of the elusive lions. Various antelopes, giraffes may also be seen. Activities include nature drives in the mornings and afternoons, night drives, morning walks and visits to the local Himba village.

Day 4: - Etosha N.P.

Kaokoveld / Okahirongo - Elephant Lodge After your morning activity you return to your aircraft and make a short flight to Opuwo where you have time to stretch your legs while your Pilot-Guide refuels the aircraft. Continue on a scenic flight over the Etosha National Park before you decend to land at Mushara. Arrive in time for lunch. Day 5: Etosha N.P. - Windhoek

After early breakfast you depart on another scheduled game drive to the Etosha National Park. Return to the Lodge in time for lunch. After lunch you return to the Aircraft and fly back to Windhoek. On arrival a driver will meet you to transfer you to your hotel in the city center. Dinner is included at the hotel.

Day 6: Windhoek

You have some time to explore Windhoek, before you will be picked up by a driver in time for a transfer to the International Airport in time for your outbound fight.
