Day 1: Johannesburg

Welcome to Johannesburg, enjoy an airport transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at lesisure.

Day 2: Johannesburg - Kruger N.P.

Today, we transfer you by shuttle down to Kruger National Park (approx 5.5 hrs). It’s said that Kruger has the greatest variety of wildlife in Africa. Lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, giraffe are present as are a profusion of herbivores. Established in 1898 to protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, this national park of nearly 2 million hectares, is unrivalled in the diversity of its life forms and a world leader in advanced environmental management techniques and policies. It’s here that one can (hopefully!) view the Big Five in abundance. Get your cameras ready!

Day 3: Kruger N.P.

Early this morning and later this afternoon you head off in open vehicles into the park in search of Africa’s Big Five. Keep those cameras ready! If you would like to get up close and personal with the animals you might want to arrange an optional guided walk with armed rangers.

Early this morning and later this afternoon you'll have game drives.

Day 5: Kruger N.P. - Cape Town

We will transfer you to kruger airport for the flight to Cape Town,. On arrival in Cape Town we will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 6: Cape Town

We commence with a cable car trip up the legendary Table Mountain for spectacular views of the Mother City and the surrounding peninsula. (weather permitting; cable car fee not included). Back in the city itself, we visit the well preserved Company Gardens, the S.A. Museum, the Castle of Good Hope and the vibrant and arty flea market, Greenmarket Square. We also take a trip through the colourful and picturesque Malay Quarter known as Bo-Kaap. (1/2 day tour)

Day 7: Cape Town

Today we take you on a wine tour. The tour starts at 08:30 and we head to Paarl and a local wine estate. An informative cellar tour and wine tasting gives personalised insight into the finer points of wine-making. Proceed to the town of Franschhoek. Here we have time to enjoy the culinary skills of the chefs at one of the many award winning restaurants (not included in cost). Onward to Stellenbosch, the heart of the South African wine Industry. With the sheer vastness of wine estates on offer, we are spoilt for choice when we enjoy our final wine tasting of the day.

Day 8: Cape Town - Oudtshoorn

You will collect your vehicle today for your self drive for the rest of the journey. you will head to Oudtshoorn with the option of visiting the Cango Caves on the way.

Day 9: Oudtshoorn - Knysna

Today you will drive over the stunning Outeniqua pass down to the coast and pass through the small coastal towns of George, Wilderness, Sedgefield and Knysna. You have the option to visit Knysna Elephant Park and to canoe on the Knysna Lagoon.

Day 10: Knysna - Plettenberg Bay

Today you will drive through to Plettenberg Bay and have the option of taking a whale watching trip or visit the Monkeyland and Bird Eden.

Day 11: Plettenberg Bay

You can either spend the day relaxing on the beach or head into Tsitsikamma National Park for a walk in the forests where there is a Canopy walk and Zipline (optional).

Day 13: Plettenberg Bay - Addo

Head into Addo National Park and to your lodge. Overnight at your lodge. Optional activities on site can be booked and paid fro direct such as Nature walks, hiking, bird watching, sundowners and more.

Day 14: Addo

Overnight at your lodge. Optional activities on site can be booked and paid fro direct such as Nature walks, hiking, bird watching, sundowners and more.

Drive to Port Elizabeth Airport for your departure flight and drop off the car at the airport.
