Day 1: Durban

Welcome to South Africa. We will pick you up from Durban airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 3: Durban - Port Elizabeth

We will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport for the flight to Port Elizabeth. On arrival at Port Elizabeth, pick up your rental car VW Polo Vivo (with Radio/CD) Standard Cover 1 - 6 Days (Avis) and head to the hotel.

Day 4: Port Elizabeth - Addo

Today you will drive to Figtree Lodge. Encircled by the lush folds of the Zuurberg Mountains, Camp Figtree is a remote private game reserve in the heart of the Eastern Cape wilderness, set between the renowned Addo Elephant National Park to the north and east and the Riverbend conservancy to the south. This luxurious lodge fuses the finest in comfort, style and service with an authentic African safari experience, offering elegant accommodation, spectacular 270 degree views and a range of activities focused on the region's rich natural environment.

Day 5: Addo

Free day at Figtree Lodge to book the optional excursions the lodge offers.

Day 6: Addo - Plettenberg Bay

Today you will drive on to Periwinkle Lodge. It is situated on Beachy-head Drive, Plettenberg Bay and overlooks Robberg Beach, Robberg Peninsula and the Tsitsikamma Mountains.

Day 7: Plettenberg Bay - Oudtshoorn

You drive on to La PLume Guest House today. Set in the Olifant’s River Valley, with some amazing views of the Swartberg Mountains. The rooms are spacious and cool against the heat of the Karoo. Guests are welcome to take a dip in the sparkling pool at the guest house.

Day 8: Oudtshoorn - Stellenbosch

Today you drive on to Klein Zalze Lodge. Kleine Zalze is just 3 km outside Stellenbosch and forms part of the De Zalze Wineland and Golf Estate. It combines outstanding winemaking and hospitality with leisure and pleasure.

Day 9: Stellenbosch

Free day to do as you please in this wine growing region of South Africa.

Day 10: Stellenbosch - Cape Town

Drive to Cape Town and drop off the rental car at the Avis office.

Day 11: Cape Town

Today we take you on a half day city tour, visiting the well preserved Company Gardens, the S.A. Museum, the Castle of Good Hope and the vibrant and arty flea market, Greenmarket Square. We also take a trip through the colourful and picturesque Malay Quarter known as Bo-Kaap. OPTION 1 Visit above highlights & Table Mountain (Cable car fee not included & weather permitting) OPTION 2 Visit above highlights & Table View for a “post card” view of Table Mountain

Day 12: Cape Town

Travel along the spectacular coastline of the Peninsula through charming historical villages. Visit the mythical meeting place of two great oceans and experience the “fairest Cape of all”. Highlights include Clifton & Camps Bay, Twelve Apostles, Llandudno, Hout Bay (optional boat trip to Seal Island), Chapmans Peak Drive, Noordhoek, Ostrich viewing, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope, Penguin Colony (optional), Simons Town, Muizenberg, Constantia and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
