Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli

Welcome to Kenya! Arrive into Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be met and transferred to the airport for the flight to Amboseli National Park. Seeing the wildlife from above is a great experience, as you fly over the savannah to the park. You will be met on arrival and transferred to Tortilis Camp, which is dwarfed by the snow capped peak of Mt Kilimanjaro. Later on you will head out on a game drive.

Days 2-3: Amboseli

Over the next 2 days enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is one of the most popular safari parks in Kenya. The park is renowned for the spectacular backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro – the highest mountain in Africa. Guided bush walks (with a trained Masai guide) are included. A visit to one of the local Masai manyattas (villages) can also be arranged.

Day 4: Amboseli - Samburu N.R.

After breakfast it is time to fly to Samburu, transferring in Nairobi. You will be picked up at the air strip and taken to Larsens Lodge, a small and exclusive camp on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River. After lunch it is time to head out on your first safari.

Day 5: Samburu N.R.

You will have a morning and afternoon game drive today. Large herds of elephants, plentiful big cats, reticulated giraffes, buffalo and gerenuks also form part of the reserve’s large and diverse wildlife population. Uaso Nyiro River is the main attraction for wildlife, but many animals are also found in the various habitats such as acacia, river forest, thorn trees and grasslands.

Day 6: Samburu N.R. - Masai Mara N.P.

Time to head to the mighty Masai Mara, a short flight gets you into the Mara at 10:15, when you will be transferred to Karen Blixen camp, with a game drive en-route. After lunch at this early 1920's style lodge, you will head out on a game drive, seeing how many of the Big 5 you can spot.

Day 7: Masai Mara N.P.

Rise early and take the option of a balloon safari across the Masai Mara. Take off in the crisp morning air, only to experience a game-viewing adventure with an entirely different perspective. As you silently float across the plains, forest and rivers for approximately an hour, your journey comes to end back on land but accompanied with a fully cooked champagne breakfast. The day sees more game viewing both in the morning and late afternoon. For the bird lovers there are over 450 species that have been identified in the Masai Mara Ecosystem.

Day 8: Masai Mara N.P. - Nairobi

Time to leave the Mara and fly back to Nairobi. On arrival we will transfer you to the hotel, where you can relax for the rest of the day. Overnight - Eka Hotel.

Day 9: Nairobi

We will transfer you to the airport in time for your departure flight.
