You will be collected from Dar Es Salaam International Airport and transferred to the hotel.
We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Arusha and on arrival in Arusha we will transfer you to Lake Mayara and check you into the lodge, which a game drive en route to the lodge.
After breakfast, morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, afternoon return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch depart and drive to Ngorongoro Crater.
Today you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the crater floor itself, for a game drive. Spend the morning exploring this fascinating wildlife amphitheater. Home to nearly 25,000 animals, which remain in the crater due to the constant supply of water from the springs. There is a very good chance of spotting the big five: lion, elephant, endangered black rhino, buffalo and leopard plus countless other African mammal species. This caldera, formed by a volcano sinking, hosts a unique cross-section of eco-systems, from Soda Lake to savannah and is home to almost every major species of African mammal.
Today, we drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge for sight seeing Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti Plains, which is in northern Tanzania. The gorge is a very steep sided ravine roughly 30 miles long and 295 ft. deep. Exposed deposits show rich fossil fauna, many hominid remains and items belonging to the one of the oldest stone tool technologies, called Olduwan. Then proceed on with game drive en route.
Today you will set off on a full day game drive taking a picnic lunch with you. You will have more time to explore a larger area of the Serengeti, with its various landscapes, from savannahs, forests, dry river beds and rocky kopjes, all of which offering a better environment for a whole range of animals. Your picnic lunch will be enjoyed in a secluded spot in the park among the wildlife.
We will drive you to Arusha for the flight to Dar es Salaam and on arrival we will check you into the hotel (please note that for the flights to Cape Town, it is necessary to overnight in Dar es Salaam).
We will drive you to the airport for the flight to Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town we will transfer you to the hotel. SA187/SA267 departing 14:40, change planes in Johannesburg and arrive Cape Town at 21:40.
We commence with a cable car trip up the legendary Table Mountain for spectacular views of the Mother City and the surrounding peninsula. Back in the city itself, we visit the well preserved Company Gardens, the S.A. Museum, the Castle of Good Hope and the vibrant and arty flea market, Greenmarket Square. We also take a trip through the colourful and picturesque Malay Quarter known as Bo-Kaap.
Today we take you on a tour to the towering headland known as Cape Point. Magnificent beaches, breathtaking views, historic and picturesque coastal villages are to be seen along the way. The Cape Peninsula is one of the world’s most scenic areas and stretches from the City centre to Cape Point.
Today we take you on a wine tour. The tour starts at 08:30 and we head to Paarl and a local wine estate. An informative cellar tour and wine tasting gives personalised insight into the finer points of wine-making. Proceed to the town of Franschhoek. Here we have time to enjoy the culinary skills of the chefs at one of the many award winning restaurants (not included in cost). Onward to Stellenbosch, the heart of the South African wine Industry. With the sheer vastness of wine estates on offer, we are spoilt for choice when we enjoy our final wine tasting of the day.
