Day 1: Nairobi
Welcome to Africa! Upon arrival we will pick-you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel for the evening. Set in four acres of beautifully landscaped lawns surrounded by lush gardens and Jacaranda trees, the Jacaranda Hotel is a landmark of calm and tranquility. The hotel is situated in the heart of Westlands, just 5km from Nairobi Central Business District. Overnight Jacaranda Hotel or similar.
Day 2: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru
Our journey begins as we drive towards Lake Nakuru National Park. You will spend the day exploring this beautiful park famous for its flamingo rimmed lake in the centre. This afternoon you can enjoy a game drive. The park also offers some of the best opportunity of seeing the very rare rhino as well as the elusive leopard.
Day 3: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara N.P.
We drive towards the Masai Mara and this afternoon enjoy a game drive! The Masai Mara Sopa Lodge is located on the slopes of Oloongams Hills, it is one of the first lodges to be built in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Guests are drawn to this lodge built in an ethnic design, surrounded by a rich landscape, covered in fauna, from huge desert cacti to sweet smelling jasmine flowers, all within the fabled Masai Mara game reserve.
Day 4: Masai Mara N.P.
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. The Mara is technically an extension of Tanzania’s renowned Serengeti National Park, but it’s rolling grasslands, meandering rivers and towering escarpments equals to an endless amount of game viewing. Home to a wide variety of animals, the Mara is also famous for its Big Five.
Day 5: Masai Mara N.P.
The day sees more game viewing both in the morning and late afternoon. For the bird lovers there are over 450 species that have been identified in the Maasai Mara Ecosystem.
Day 6: Masai Mara N.P. - Zanzibar
It may be the last day of safari however your game viewing does not stop. After breakfast, experience an on-route game drive out of the Mara and onto Nairobi. You will arrive in Nairobi late afternoon in time for your onward flight (please book flight after 16:00). Upon arrival into Zanzibar we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel near stone town for the evening.
Day 7: Zanzibar
This morning you will be met by your guide and taken on a guided tour of Stone Town and a Spice Tour en-route to your accomodation by the beach.
Days 8-9: Zanzibar
Spend the next two days at leisure, relaxing on the beautiful white sands and soaking up the sunshine.
Day 10: Zanzibar
This morning you will be met by your driver and driven to Zanzibar Airport for your flight home. Sadly our arrangements come to an end. We hope you have enjoyed the magic that is Zanzibar.
