Day 1: Cape Town - Oudtshoorn
Make your way to the Avis office 123 Strand Street to collect your vehicle rental. From Cape Town take the N1 to Worcester and the R60 to Montagu. Continue on the R62 through Barrydale, Ladismith and Calitzdorp to Oudtshoorn. In Oudtshoorn continue straight until you reach Baron Van Reede Street (3rd traffic light) and turn left. Continue straight towards the Cango Caves. After approximately 14km, De Opstal Country Lodge is situated on the left, alongside the road.
Day 2: Oudtshoorn - Knysna
Drive to the picturesque town of Knysna - South Africa’s ‘Oyster Capital’, situated between lush forests and a peaceful estuary. Take the N2 towards Knysna. Upon entering Knysna, turn right at the third traffic light into Waterfront Drive. At the next traffic light, turn left into Gray Street. Continue up Gray Street. The hotel is located on the right-hand side on the corner of Gray and Trotter Street.
Day 4: Knysna - Plettenberg Bay
Travelling from Knysna continue along the N2 towards Plettenberg Bay. On the outskirts of Plettenberg Bay you will see the signage PIESANG VALLEY ROAD and turn right at this turning. Continue all the way down Piesang Valley Road, past the Global Village on the left and the Plettenberg Bay Country Club on the right until you come to a small traffic circle where you turn right. On the left is a small shopping complex with a Kwik-Spar etc – opposite this, turn right into LONGSHIPS DRIVE. You will pass Godfrey Street and they take the next turning left into ROCHE BONNE DRIVE. Travel down this road until the T junction. At this stop turn right into Beachyhead Drive and travel down until you reach Periwinkle Lodge number 75.
Day 5: Plettenberg Bay - Port Elizabeth
Take the N2 towards Port Elizabeth. Follow this route until you reach the M4 Settlers Way turn off and take it. This road will lead you to Marine Drive in which you will find the Port Elizabeth City Lodge. N0 50 Corner of Beach and Lodge Road.
Day 6: Port Elizabeth
Today you will need to drop your car off at the Port Elizabeth airport as the 6 day car rental ends today (office closes at 09:30pm).
