Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport you will be met and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Spend the remains of the day at leisure. Overnight Mount Meru Hotel or similar.
After breakfast set out with a picnic lunch for the stunning landscape of the mighty Serengeti National Park, renowned for its annual migration of wildebeests searching for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game viewing in Africa.
Spend the next two days experiencing some of the ultimate game viewing before saying goodbye to the Serengeti.
Today travel to another natural wonder, the Ngorongoro Crater, spanning 260 square kilometres and reaching 620 metres in depth and home to a multitude of wildlife. A stop at Olduvai Gorge will be made en route.
Starting early head off on a half day game drive to the crater floor of this natural phenomenon and enjoy a picnic on the shores of one of the crater’s lakes for lunch.
Today we leave the Ngorongoro area and travel back to Arusha for lunch at the Shanga House before transferring you to your onward flight departing approx. 14:00 to Zanzibar arriving approx. 15:20. Upon arrival we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel near stone town.
This morning you will be met by your guide and taken on a guided tour of Stone Town and a Spice Tour en-route to the Z Hotel. You will get the opportunity to see a spice plantation and the process involved in harvesting these perfumed ingredients that we today take for granted but were once as precious as gems or gold with pirates often cruising the coast pilfering ships for their precious spice cargo. The rest of the day will be at leisure to enjoy the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
Spend the next few days relaxing on the beautiful white sands soaking up the sunshine or perhaps opt for a spot of snorkelling or scuba diving to see the incredible coral reefs teeming with exotic fish and even the odd dolphin in the azure waters (all optionals book and pay for locally).
