THE M/S EXPEDITION
At a nimble 105 metres in length, with a capacity to hold 120 guests, the M/S Expedition is an ideal vessel to ply polar waters. The M/S Expedition has recently undergone a $15, 000 000 refurbishment and retrofit, to ensure that the ship is suited to our style of expedition. With a focus on top line safety, comfort and the unique demands of polar travel, the vessel has been transformed into one of the world's leading polar expedition cruise ships. The brand new top of the line cabins provide a variety of affordable, twins, triples, higher end double cabins and suites. All cabins have windows or portholes and full private en suite bathrooms.

Facilities
Polar Bear Pub, Expedition lounge / Albatross Bar. A BBQ deck, 360° view observation deck, fitness centre/sauna and dining room serving international cuisine and large enough to seat all passengers at once.
Meals
All meals are provided onboard the M/S Expedition, which offers a diverse range of gourmet international cuisines prepared and catered by professional chefs. Dining is casual, tables are unassigned and the dining room is capable of seating the entire passenger compliment at one time. There is always a selection of different meals available, and vegetarians will find plenty of options. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice, please advise us at time of confirmation. Coffee, tea and water are all provided free of charge. All other beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic are not included and can be purchased in the dining room or in the lounge throughout the expedition.
Expedition Leaders & Staff
Accompanying the voyage is a dedicated and experienced staff of expedition leaders, naturalists and lecturers who will share their knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment to the environment. They are chosen not only for their local knowledge and wealth of experience but also for their great love of the Antarctic. With formal lectures, as well as informal briefings and discussions, your lecturers and Expedition Leader will cover all aspects of the voyage including ornithology, marine biology, geography, geology, history and the environment, as well as practical things like photography. The ship is manned by officers and crew, all highly experienced in ice navigation.
