Yesterday I received two hoodies regarding the celebration of the above mentioned Tour.
I wish to thank you for your follow up of these items. On the tour our bus only had S, M, and a few L, which only fitted a few people. Disappointing at the time.
Having received your correspondence previously regarding the tour (which I thought was excellent) I will now be shouting your praises as to the fact that your company followed through completing our experience of our holiday.
And leaving us with a wonderful memento of our trip.
Again many thanks and every success with your Tours of Turkey.
Murat was a fabulous tour guide - the right mix of detailed information also mixed with personal and cultural information. He was very organised, extremely pleasant to deal with - nothing was ever a problem. He went above and beyond many times, serving us meals at some very bus restaurants to help out.
The ancient sites were incredible - my only complaint was that I could not stay longer!
Some of the hotels were not very comfortable but I think this being a very busy time with the Anzac Centenary there was a shortage of accommodation of this standard.”
Thanks for your note, we only returned on 17th June and still getting over the "jet-lag". It is really appreciated when a company does take the time to come back in contact with their clients and we will certainly consider you for any future "military" excursions - apart from ANZAC (we would like to go back one day on a non ANZAC day to appreciate more closely without the crowds), we have also been to the "Arizona" in Hawaii and the Commonwealth cemeteries in Singapore.
Further to our comment sheet on our trip and particularly our guide, I would also like to make the following comment. As this was our first guided tour, we were impressed by our guide, Kivanc Gungor, but it was only after the next part of our trip, that we learned just how good he was. We did a 24 day cruise of the Mediterranean after Gallipoli and did several guided tours of ports of call and found those guides very poor. In the main, they just would not shut up and let us appreciate what they were showing us. One guide in Athens had us standing out in the hot sun for half an hour, giving us the full history of Greece, which we did not need to hear and then only allowed 10 minutes of photo time. One thing Kivanc "Crunchie" did was if we were not that interested in the full detail of a site he was showing us, he allowed us to do our own thing and gave us a meeting point and time to re-join the tour. Every time those guides rambled on about how good Greece or Italy or France was, we thought of how great "Crunchie" really was and we didn't really appreciate him until after that cruise. Can you pass on our thanks to him.
