An amazing 2 week journey staying with friendly local hosts, exploring Cuba’s colourful buildings and provincial streets and walking on the wild side of Cuba’s largest ecosystem of swamps and lagoons!

Day 1: Havana
Upon arrival at Havana Airport make your own way to our joining hotel. Spend the rest of the day independently exploring the city stuck in a time warp. Perhaps grab a classic 1950’s American taxi and head to Old Havana with its narrow streets and overhanging balconies with an old world charm. Overnight - Havana
Days 2 - 4: Bay of Pigs
Havana - Santa Clara - Cienfuegos. After leaving Havana, we spend the night at Santa Clara. Here we visit the Che Guevara museum and see the memorial for those that fell during the Revolution. There is also the Monumento a la Toma del Tren Blindado, a battle site where Che Guevara derailed an armoured train, defeating those driving it.

On the way to Cienfuegos we visit Central Australia, an abandoned sugar plantation which was the site of Fidel's Bay of Pig's resistance campaign. Cienfuegos, also known as the 'Pearl of the South' because of its beautiful bay, lovely colonial architecture, and unforgettable hospitality, will keep you easily entertained for two days. There are options to explore some amazing scuba and snorkelling sights and to discover fascinating museums and other colonial treasures. Overnight - Santa Clara (1) Cienfuegos (2) (B:1)

Days 5 - 7: Trinidad
Cienfuegos - Trinidad. Trinidad is a colonial gem with an array of cobbled streets, colourfully painted buildings, elegant palaces, and lovely colonial plazas. Enjoy your free time and take a tour of the nearby Valley of the Sugar Mills, now a World Heritage Site; relax at nearby Ancona beach or go totally Cuban and take a salsa lesson. Days 8 - 9: Cameguey
Trinidad - Camaguey. Today we leave Trinidad and upon arrival in Camaguey we hop on bicycle taxis to tour the city and its labyrinth streets, visiting all of the major sites. Camaguey’s maze of streets were built originally to thwart pirate invaders. Without our trusty bicitaxi drivers we would surely be lost! Overnight - Cameguey (2)
Days 10 - 13: Santiago de Cuba
Camaguey - Santiago - Baracoa. The next morning we drive to Santiago de Cuba arriving late afternoon. The following morning before departing for Baracoa, you have the option of visiting the El Moro Castle built to protect the city from marauding pirates.

The bus journey to Baracoa takes us along the edge of the beautiful Sierra Maestra Mountains. Baracoa is a small seaside town surrounded by rich vegetation, we take a walk through a small cacao farm, where we are shown the process of making chocolate. Later we embark on our River Toa boat cruise where you will see an abundance of local flora and fauna. Overnight - Santiago de Cuba (2) Baracoa (2) (B:2)

Days 14 - 15: Havana
Santiago de Cuba - Havana. On day 14 We have a morning flight with time in Havana in the afternoon to enjoy some last minute sightseeing and shopping. Tonight we can enjoy a farewell dinner in the evening before saying our goodbyes. Day 15 marks the end of your Cuban adventure, tour arrangements end after hotel checkout Havana (2) (B:1, D:1)
