Day 1: San Jose

Upon arrival into San Jose airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel (Private Transfer). The rest of the day is at leisure for you to relax at the hotel with it's extensive facilities or to head off into San Jose and begin exploring. Overnight - Grano de Oro Hotel.

Day 2: San Jose

After breakfast you depart to Poas Volcano National Park. Considered by most to be one of the most breathtaking sites in the entire country, the Poas Volcano sits various habitats and life zones which make up Poas Volcano National Park. This is followed by a visit to La Paz Waterfall Gardens which is also a very diverse area of lush tropical forests and animals. (This is a shared tour with other tourists) Evening at leisure at your hotel. Overnight - Grano de Oro Hotel.

Day 3: San Jose - Tortuguero

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Tortuguero (Shared Transfer). Time for lunch in a local restaurant in Siquirres before you arrive to Caño Blanco dock from here you will be transferred by boat through the Tortuguero canals to your hotel. Later today enjoy a visit to Tortuguero Village on a shared group tour. Evening at leisure. Overnight - Mawamba Lodge.

Day 4: Tortuguero

This morning join other tourists and take a guided tour into the canals of Tortuguero. It’s the Caribbean version of the Amazon. The Tortuguero Canals are an extensive system of natural and man-made waterways used both for simple transportation and jungle exploration. This afternoon enjoy a guided excursion into the actual National Park Reserve of Tortuguero. Overnight - Mawamba Lodge.

Day 5: Tortuguero - La Fortuna

Leaving the jungle, travel on by boat and then private car to Arenal in Costa Rica’s fertile northern lowlands en route we will make a stop for a lunch of local cuisine. Arrival and check into your hotel. Later afternoon at leisure, here there are mountains to be hiked, lakes to be fished and rivers to be floated. As one of the country’s most scenic and accessible areas, it is a requisite stop on any tour of Costa Rica. Overnight - Arenal Volcano Lodge.

Day 6: La Fortuna

The morning is free for optional activities such as horse riding, canyoning or hiking. Afternoon enjoy an included excursion to Arenal Volcano National Park with fellow travellers to see the Volcano up close an also the Baldi Hot Springs. Overnight - Arenal Volcano Lodge.

Day 7: La Fortuna

Today enjoy a full day excursion with lunch included on a boat expedition deep into the Caño Negro National Refuge with fellow travellers. Located near the border of Nicaragua it is one of the hardest places in Costa Rica to get to independently hence why you undertake a boat expedition. Overnight - Arenal Volcano Lodge.

Day 8: La Fortuna

This morning enjoy a visit to the Arenal Hanging Bridges with fellow travellers before making our way by private car to Tamarindo. Along the way a stop will be made for you to have lunch at your own cost. Arrival in Tamarindo Beach and check into your hotel for an evening at leisure. Overnight - Tamarindo Diria Hotel.

Day 9:

BEACH AREA This morning we will take you an orientation beach tour with fellow beach goers to get a handle on the area this is followed by lessons in what is Costa Rica's beach pastime Surfing no doubt! Afternoon at leisure, to rent boards and surf or just relax on the beach. Overnight - Tamarindo Diria Hotel.

Days 10-11:

BEACH AREA For today and tomorrow enjoy relaxing on the gorgeous Tamarindo beach. Overnight - Tamarindo Diria Hotel.

Day 12: - Manuel Antonio

Today we make our way by private car to Manuel Antonio. Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most popular parks in the country; blessed with beautiful lagoons, palm fringed beaches and a plethora of animals including sloths, pelicans, white-faced monkeys, anteaters and huge iguanas. Enjoy time at leisure exploring the park and relaxing on the beach. Afternoon at leisure to do your own optional activities. Overnight - The Falls Hotel.

Day 13: Manuel Antonio

This morning an included excursion into the National park is included with fellow travellers. The afternoon remains at your leisure to explore. Overnight - The Falls Hotel.

Day 14: Manuel Antonio

For today enjoy relaxing on the gorgeous beach or optional activities on offer at your hotel. Overnight - The Falls Hotel.

Day 15: Manuel Antonio - San Jose

Today a private transfer is arranged to take you back to Costa Rica's bustling capital San Jose. Remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight - Grano de Oro Hotel.

Day 16: San Jose

Today we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
