Here are some reviews from our past travellers to China. For more details on each tour, simply click on the tour image.
Tour was great. The group was a little older than I had expected but that was fine, they were overall a great bunch of people to tour with.
If there is anything to say, it would be too many temples. I understand that extra temples were added due to the closing to the public of the Forbidden City. The Buddhas were quite spectacular, maybe there could be more free time to walk and wander, rather than hear the story over and over again.
Accommodation in Luoyang was troublesome. I can sympathise that in a "rural town" in China, accommodation standards won't be the best, but this place felt very dusty, dry and uncomfortable.
Stephanie as a tour guide was unbelievably fantastic. She constantly went out of her way to help us all, and it was lovely to see that she so clearly understood the western sense of humour. She was brilliant and great fun.
Jackie I had for Shanghai, and he was great too. Only had time with him for a little throughout the two days, but he was incredibly enthusiastic, passionate and engaging. Was also very willing to help above the bare necessity. ”
The tour was absolutely great and our tour guide made it even more special. Stephanie was awesome, knowledgable and so much fun. She was always full of surprises for us and made the whole experience even better. The sleeper train from Xi'an to Shanghai was the highlight of the trip. The whole group was cramped in one berth singing songs having few bears, even the local kids came to join us. The Great Wall and the teraccota soldiers were absolutely stunning and it is a must see. Also I can't forget to mention the kids in the local school in the Bu Yang village who were so addorable and I enjoyed myself playing games, teaching them how to make paper planes and dancing with them. The only thing that wasn't so good was Jinan as there is not much to see and that day could have been used to visit some other place.”
