Today is a free day for you to explore Beijing at your leisure. Why not head to the vast Tiananmen Square where Chairman Mao’s tomb and various monuments to the people are located, or the Forbidden City, a centre of power for five centuries and seat of the emperors. Later this evening you will be take to the acrobatic show.
Don some comfortable shoes. Today we drive out of the city to Badaling, where we can walk a section of the Great Wall. Some sections are fairly steep, but the walk on the vast wall that snakes for thousands of kilometres is one of those ‘must do’ experiences! Continuing a short distance from Badaling, we visit the tombs of the Ming emperors before heading back to Beijing. Later this evening we head to the train station for your overnight train to Xian.
Today you arrive Xi’an at 8 am, we will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After breakfast we go to visit the Huaqing Hot Springs, a scenic spot in the shadow of Li Mountain. Before visiting the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site, we visit a workshop where we see the process used to create the terracotta figurines. In battle formation, the Terracotta Warriors are one of China’s most awesome sights.
Today, we visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Muslim Quarter. Encircling the old city is Xi’an’s medieval City Wall, where we enjoy a hired bike ride. Enjoy some free time to explore, before heading back to the hotel.
Early this morning we will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight to Guilin. Upon arrival trasnfer to Yangshuo for Banboo raft, later on today we will transfer you back to the Guilin for your overnight stay.
This morning you are free at leisure. Later this afternoon we will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight - KA703(1615/1735) to Hongkong.
