Welcome to China and the start of your holiday! Enjoy an arrival transfer to our hotel, where you sit back and relax after your long flight.
Today we tour the centre of Beijing including the massive Tiananmen Square and the sprawling Forbidden City. Boasting some 9999 rooms, the city within a city was once the sole preserve of the Chinese emperors. Afternoon rickshaw ride through the Hutongs of Beijing and traditional Peking Duck dinner this evening.
The Great Wall! Following a ridge of barren hills through northern China, it stretches as far as the eye can see - at least 6,700 kms. Continuing, a visit is made to the tombs of the Ming emperors, where some 13 emperors were interred. Also, we'll visit a cloisonne workshop, where you’ll see the production of decorative items, an ancient craft.
Morning market walk and a visit to the Summer Palace. We explore the lavishly decorated temples, halls and courts, reconstructed in 1902 at the whim of the extravagant Dowager Empress Cixi. Visit to the famed Silk Alley markets before our bus to Chengde.
Today we will be visiting all the temples of Chende - we will visit Puning Temple and Putuozhongcheng Temple, Outer Temples and Pule Temple.
This morning we visit the beautiful Mountain Resort. Later we return to Beijing for our overnight train to Xian.
Upon arrival into Xian, we are met and transferred to our hotel for breakfast and time to freshen up. Later today, we visit the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site where some 7,000 warriors stand in battle ready position, a factory that shows how the terracotta figurines are crafted and Huaqing Hot Springs.
Today, we tour the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, take a bike ride on Xian’s medieval City Wall and visit the Muslim Quarter.
Leaving Xian, we head to the airport for our flight to Shanghai. On arrival we are met and transferred to our hotel. Remainder of today at leisure.
Focus your eyes on spectacular Shanghai. Perhaps China’s most modern city, it's amazing Pudong skyline is stunning. We enjoy a tour of the many city sights including Yuyuan Garden, TV Tower, Jade Buddha Temple and The Bund, with a cruise on the Huangpu River.
Departing Shanghai, we travel by train today to Hangzhou to visit the Six Harmonies Pagoda and enjoy tea at the Dragon Well.
A full days site-seeing today - today we'll visit West Lake, Linyin Temple and a bicycle ride before our flight to Guilin.
Today we will enjoy a whole day Cruise on the Li River. The 90km Li River cruise is the centerpiece of any trip to northeastern Guangxi Province. Bear witness to rural China as peasants reap rice paddies, school kids and fisherman float by on bamboo rafts. We will visit the local market and West Street once we arrive in Yangshuo.
Today we fly to Guangzhou. On arrival we will visit the Chen Clan Ancestor Temple and the Pedestrian street where we will see the traditional Chinese architectures and have free time for shopping.
Whole day excursion of Guangzhou - previously known as Canton, it remains an important international trading port and like Hong Kong is a Special Economic Zone aided by foreign and Chinese investment. Highlights of today's tour will include; Nanyue King’s Tomb, Yuexiu Park, Liurong Temple, Xinghai Musical Hall and Zhongshan Square.
Travelling on, we catch the train to Hong Kong - known for its shopping I'm sure you will find many bargains during your time here. On arrival we are met and transferred to our hotel, remainder of today at leisure.

Today we bid you farewell with a departure transfer to Hong Kong Airport. Based on the magical places you have visited in China I am sure you will have many special memories to ponder on your long flight home.
