Dominating the city’s heart is the Forbidden City, a centre of power for five centuries and seat of the emperors. Entering through the Gate of Heavenly Peace (replete with Chairman Mao’s portrait), we enjoy a guided walk of this old city within a city. Overnight Beijing.
The might Great Wall is where we are headed where you get the oportunity to climb and walk on one of the largest man made stuctures in the world. Later today we and visit the Ming Dynasty Tombs where from the Yongle Emperor onwards, 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors were buried in this area. Overnight Beijing.
This morning we head out to the Summer Palace, set in a park, two thirds of which is a lake. Built on the north of the lake, the palaces, theatre, bridges and marble boat make this a picturesque sight. Later tonight we board the overnight train to Xi'an.

An early morning rise this morning so we can board our express train to Chongqing. Before we board the cruise down the Yangtze, we first enjoy a city tour of Chongqing.
Good morning from the River Yangtze! At 6340km in length, the Yangtze is the 3rd longest river in the world, neatly dividing China into north and south, and winding its way through eight very different provinces. Enjoy spectacular vies passing through some of the famous Gorges Qutangxia Gorge, Wuxia Gorge, Xiling Gorge on your way to Yichang.

Today starts off after breakfast for a full days excursion, highlights will be a visit to the Bund The Bund, also called the Zhongshan Road, is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. A high speed train sees us racing away to Suzhou today. A visit to the Humble administrators garden and then we take a leisurely boat on the Grand Canal. Overnight Suzhou.
This morning enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of the Lingering Gardena renowned classical Chinese garden then we head to the Suzhou famous silk factories. Later this afternoon we reboard the High Speed train backto Shanghai. Overnight Shanghai.
