Welcome to China. Our local representative will meet you right off the train and transfer you to your hotel, the Courtyard in Hutongs. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
Don some comfortable shoes. Today we drive out of the city to Badaling, where we can walk a section of the Great Wall. Some sections are fairly steep, but the walk on the vast wall that snakes for thousands of kilometres is one of those ‘must do’ experiences! Continuing a short distance from Badaling, we visit the tombs of the Ming emperors. We also make a visit to a cloisonne workshop, where we’ll see first-hand the unique Chinese art of combining copper and enamel to make decorative pieces.

Upon arrival in Xian, you will be met by the local guides and transfer to your hotel for breakfast. We then Before visit the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site, and a workshop where we see the process used to create the terracotta figurines. In battle formation, the Terracotta Warriors are one of China’s most awesome sights.

Our local representative to greet you off the train and transfer you to your hotel, the Flower Hotel Chengdu. Later we visit the Wuhou Temple and Jinli Ancient street, a commercial street with a mix of traditional charm and modern cafes, bar and restaurants.
After breakfast you will venture to the Panda Centre. Located just 6 miles from down town, the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Centre has been created and imitates the pandas' natural habitat in order that they might have the best possible environment for rearing and breeding. It's a full day excursion where you will also get to see other endangered species and the famous giant Buddha sculpture. We also stop at the park and museum in honour of the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu. This evening you board the overnight sleeper train to Kunming.
Arriving in the mid afternoon in Kunming and check in at your hotel. The rest of the day and evening are free for you to explore.
After breakfast and hotel check, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Vientiane.
