This morning, We explore the heart of Beijing including the vast Tiananmen Square where Chairman Mao’s tomb and various monuments to the people are located. Dominating the city’s heart is the Forbidden City, a centre of power for five centuries and seat of the emperors. You will also have the opportunity to visit the hutongs on a rickshaw followed by a cooking class and then finally a visit to the Bird's Nest.
Today morning you will go a guided visit of the Temple of Heaven. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Today Stephanie joins the rest of the group.
Today you will be transferred to the train station where you will board a high speed train to Xian. Upon arrival in Xian you will be transferred to the hotel. Later today you will go on a guided visit to the city wall where you will have the opportunity to do a bike ride. You shall also visit the Wild Goose Pagoda, constructed around the 7th century to store translations of Buddhist sutras from India.
Todays highlights will be a visit to Huaqing Hot Springs, a scenic spot in the shadow of Li Mountain. Before visiting the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site, we visit a workshop where we see the process used to create the terracotta figurines.
Today morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Upon arriving you will be transferred to the hotel. This afternoon you will go on a guided visit to Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill.
Today you embark upon a cruise on the Li River.
Today you have the morning at leisure. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Chongqing. Upon arriving you will go on a guided tour of the city before you embark on your cruise.
Today you disembark the cruise at approximately 11am. Once of the cruise you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arriving in Shanghai you will be transferred to the hotel where you have the rest of the day at leisure.
Today starts off after breakfast for a full days excursion, highlights will be a visit to the Bund The Bund, also called the Zhongshan Road, is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. Onward to see the famous Yu Gardens and a trip to see the TV Tower.
Today you have the morning at leisure to explore Shanghai. Late this afternoon you will be transferred to the train station where you will board a high speed train to Beijing.
