Day 1: Xi'an

Arrival into Xian and we will collect you from the airport and transfer you to the hotel.

This morning we tour the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site where some 7,000 warriors stand in battle ready position and a factory demonstrating how the warriors are crafted. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 3: Xi'an

Today enjoy a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Muslim Quarter of the city and take a bicycle ride or leisurely walk along Xi’an 9 mile in length, medieval City Wall. Day 4: Xi'an

Free day in Xian to explore at your leisure.

Day 5: Xi'an - Lijiang

Morning transfer to the hotel for your flight to Lijiang (JD5521 0735/0945 only option available this day) Arrival and we will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 6: Lijiang

Enjoy an excursion to the stunning Jade Dragon Snow Mountain; its landscape includes one of the southernmost glaciers in the world. Access to the mountain is provided by a cable lift to Dragon Spruce Meadow, halfway to the glacier peak. Visit also Yufeng Si Monastery.

Day 7: Lijiang

Free day at your leisure to explore.

Day 8: Lijiang

After breakfast head to the excitingly named Tiger leaping gorge on the Yangtze River. Some 16km long and up to 3000m deep, it is the world’s deepest canyon. The gorge is so narrow at various points that legend has it a tiger once escaped pursuit by leaping across. Visiting the gorge, you’ll have a chance to walk a section and take in the dramatic, yet stark scenery.

Day 9: Lijiang - Dali

Leaving LIjiang we drive south to Dali taking in the scenery along the way - Arrival and check into your hotel (SUITE ROOM)

Days 10-11: Dali

For today and tommorow enjoy free time to explore at your leisure.(SUITE ROOM)

Day 12: Dali - Yangshuo

Today we transfer you to the airport for your flight Guilin (Dali/Kunming CZ3482 1200/1240 then connecting flight CA3248 1755/1920) Arrival in Guilin and we will transfer you to Yangshuo and your hotel.

Days 13-15: Yangshuo

For the next three days you can choose to go boating along the Li or Yu Long rivers, cycling, hiking, rafting or rock climbing or simply spend the day exploring this charming village laden with quirky shops, tea shops, antiques, art t-shirt designers and souvenir curios. Maybe take a calligraphers or beginners art class with a local painter or enjoy a morning class at the ‘Cloud 9’ cooking school.

Day 16: Yangshuo - Guilin

This morning we drive to Longsheng. Here, we explore the rice terraces of the Dragon’s Backbone! Beginning at the base of Mt Longji the verdant green rice fields coil the steep mountain layer upon layer climbing to its summit. Where there is soil a terrace has been made! Taking a walk along the stone paths no more than a metre wide, we climb skyward to enjoy panoramic views of the ribbon like terraces with picturesque valleys and meandering streams below. Then transfer to Guilin

Day 17: Guilin

Today we tour the enormous Reed Flute Caves. Take an afternoon stroll along the picturesque riverside foot bridges and paths. Evening at leisure to explore the city.
