Up bright and early this morning for packed day exploring the nation's capital. First we explore the centre of Beijing, China's magnificent capital, including the massive Tian'anmen Square and the sprawling Forbidden City. We conclude the day with a rickshaw ride through the Hutongs of Beijing to see how traditional life is maintained in a fast growing megacity.
Today, we drive beyond Beijing to Badaling, to walk a section of the famous Great Wall. Built in the Ming Dynasty, a 6m wide pathway makes a formidable defence, following the highest contours of a steep range of hills. Heading back toward the city we will stop off to see the Sacred Way known for it's Exhibition Hall of the Ming Tombs. This evening we will transfer you to the station for the overnight train to Datong.
You arrive into Datong early giving you a whole day to explore the area. After your arrival transfer our expert guide will take you out to walk around the Yungang Grottoes (some of the first and grandest of Buddhist grottoes containing intricately carved buddhas of all shapes and sizes) After, visit the Hanging Temple which is a sight to behold, and is a structure that seriously defies gravity. Constructed on an impossibly precipitous rock face, it literally hugs the cliff. We then drive to Wutaishan to your hotel for the night.
Up early this morning for your exploration of Wutaishan which is one of the four Sacred Buddhist mountains of China. After we drive to Pingyao. Enjoy the interesting scenery en route.
Today you explore the town with our local guide taking in the highlights such as Shuangling Temple and Zhengguo Temple, the City Wall, The First Bank of China and Mingqing Street. We later assist with your boarding the overnight train destined for Huashan.
Arriving into Huashan in the early hours meet our local team who will take you to explore the Hua Shan. A sacred mountain to the Taoists which is a cluster of five peaks with breathtaking cliff faces and a tough challenge to mountaineers. Hua is popularly known by tourists as the "Most Dangerous Hiking Trail in the World" because even though the climb did not require any technical climbing skills, the hike contains a few steep ascents with via ferrata and narrow passes. When you have explored until your heart is content we drive you the 120 KM to Xian.
Enjoy a cram packed day of discovering Xian's archaeological wonder known to the world as the Terracotta Army. Later we assist with your embarking the overnight train destined for Shanghai.

Enjoy a cram packed day with our guide exploring the cities wonders, including the Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple and The Colonial Concessions along the Bund for a view of the ‘yesterday & today’ of Shanghai, and to cap it all a cruise on the Huangpu River to see the see the incredible city sky line from the river perspective.
Today we take a high speed train journey to ancient Suzhou. A sort of oriental Venice, ancient Suzhou is interwoven by a series of canals and pretty waterways which feed a series of classical gardens, laid out here since the Song dynasty, a thousand years ago. They are justly famous across China. Suzhou sits very close to the Grand Canal. Here we enjoy a cruise on the Grand Canal, tour the Humble Administrator’s Garden and visit a silk workshop.
Today its a scenic drive to Hangzhou. Hangzhou is unusual for a Chinese city, in that it encompasses large tracts of greenery which might normally be classified as countryside. Arriving here, our local guide will take you to explore the West Lake and Lingyin Temple.
Spend the morning at leisure before flying to Chongqing, the start point for our exciting Yangtze River cruise. Before boarding the cruise the we can stroll along Chongqing’s People’s Square, in the city centre.
Good morning from the River Yangtze! At 6340km in length, the Yangtze is the 3rd longest river in the world, neatly dividing China into north and south and wending its way through eight very different provinces. Whilst cruising for the next couple of days through the breathtaking gorges, shore excursions are offered at no additional expense to Shibaozhai and Shennong stream, with its unique scenery and four natural gorges. Drift serenely along the stream in small, open ‘pea pod boats’, looking out upon lush greenery, jagged peaks and ancient villages of the Tujia people - one of the local ethnic minorities.
Disembarking from our cruise in Yichang we will assist you in catching the high speed train to Wuhan from here our driver will take you to the airport for your direct flight to Guilin.
This morning we drive to Longsheng. Here, we explore the rice terraces of the Dragon’s Backbone! Beginning at the base of Mt Longji the verdant green rice fields coil the steep mountain layer upon layer climbing to its summit. Where there is soil a terrace has been made! Taking a walk along the stone paths no more than a metre wide, we climb skyward to enjoy panoramic views of the ribbon like terraces with picturesque valleys and meandering streams below.
This morning your Li River cruise departs from downtown Guilin for a full days excursion. The 90 Km Li River cruise is the centerpiece of any trip to northeastern Guangxi Province. Gorgeous Karst peaks give you surprises at each bend of the limpid river under the blue sky. Bear witness to rural China as peasants reap rice paddies, school kids and fisherman float by on bamboo rafts. After passing many world renown sights such as Elephant Trunk Hill, Pagoda Hill and more you arrive in to Yangshuo where you can explore at leisure once we have driven you to and assisted with, your hotel check in.
This morning we drive you to Guilin airport for the last of your internal flights this time to Hong Kong. Arriving into Hong Kong, make your own way on the easy to catch high speed bullet to Kowloon and here a short walk to check into your hotel.
Sadly your journey has come to an end, make your own way on the shuttle back the airport in time for your flight home.
