Day 1: Hong Kong
Today we will meet you at 08:30am at Tsung Tsin Primary School and Kindergarten for a tour to Mount Victoria day tour and we make a stop at the Aberdeen Fishing Village with sampan ride. Hustle down to the Star Ferry and take the short ten-minute trip across Victoria Harbour, either to the Kowloon or Central side. Gaze up at Hong Kong's majestic skyline, which is an erratic stretch of skyscrapers, hotels, and apartment blocks. After the tour at 13:30 we will drop you back to the Tsung Tsin Primary School. (Accommodation not included tonight)
Day 2: Hong Kong - Guilin
Today you will be picked up at 12:00 from the Tsung Tsin Primary School and transferred to the train station to independently catch the seater train to Guangzhou to connect with your overnight sleeper train to Guilin.
Day 3: Guilin
Upon arrival at Guilin you will be met by your guide and transfer to hotel. We will tour Elephant Trunk Hill, Fubo Hill, Mausoleums of Jingjiang Princes, have a short visit to Waterfall Hotel and then Four Lakes Cruise.
Day 4: Guilin
This morning we drive to Longsheng. Here, we explore the rice terraces of the Dragon’s Backbone! Beginning at the base of Mt Longji the verdant green rice fields coil the steep mountain layer upon layer climbing to its summit. Where there is soil a terrace has been made! Taking a walk along the stone paths no more than a metre wide, we climb skyward to enjoy panoramic views of the ribbon like terraces with picturesque valleys and meandering streams below. We travel back to Guilin and watch the local fishermen use their trained cormorants to catch fish (a centuries old tradition, though somewhat commercialised these days).
Day 5: Guilin - Yangshuo
Today we take a sailing trip on a bamboo raft up along the stream and also enjoy a Li River Cruise.
Day 6: Yangshuo
Today we visit an agricultural village as well as a bit of light work on the field and soak in and experience life in the counrtryside. This evening enjoy the lightshow at Yangshuo!
Day 7: Yangshuo - Guangzhou
Today we visit a local school in Yangshuo before your transfer to Guilin and enroute we will visit the enormous and dazzlingly beautiful Reed Flute Caves before being transferred to the train station to catch your overnight train independantly back to Guangzhou.
Day 8: Guangzhou
Upon arrival in Guangzhou you will need to catch the seater train to Hong Kong independently and there you will be picked up and escorted to the Harbour Plaza Metropolis (accommodation not included)
