Great Wall

Day 1: Beijing

Huan ying, welcome to China and the start of your holiday! Airport arrival transfer and hotel check in. The 1st September has been booked so you can check straight into your hotel after your midnight arrival.

Forbidden City

Day 2: Beijing

This morning, we tour the centre of Beijing, China's magnificent capital, including the massive Tiananmen Square and the sprawling Forbidden City. Boasting some 9999 rooms, the city within a city was once the sole preserve of the Chinese emperors. After lunch, enjoy touring the famous Summer Palace on Kunming Lake. Welcome Dinner of Peking Duck at a city restaurant.

Day 3: Beijing

The sightseeing today starts with exploring the great Temple of Heaven where emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvest. Afterwards, you will be guided to the snaking Mutianyu Great Wall, an uncrowded section with comfortable round trip cable car to take in the picturesque scenery. As for lunch, it will be offered at an elegant restaurant at the foot of the Great Wall. Then take a chance to have a close view of the Bird's Nest and Water Cube on the way back to hotel.

Day 4: Beijing - Xi'an

After breakfast, we pay a visit of the Lama Temple. Then, you will hop on a rickshaw to ride through the narrow alleys for a Hutong tour, and pay a visit of a local family as well as have lunch in a local neighborhood before boarding our overnight sleeper train (4 berth soft sleeper cabins) to Xi'an.

Day 5: Xi'an

Arrive Xi’an and hotel check in. Later we tour the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site where some 7,000 warriors stand in battle ready position. After lunch, visit the ancient Xian City Wall and the oldest, largest and best preserved Islamic mosques in China, the Great Mosque. You will have some free time to wander around the well know Muslim street nearby.

Day 6: Xi'an - Guilin

After breakfast in the hotel, you will find our guide waiting for you in the hotel lobby to transfer you to visit the elegant and dignified Shaanxi History Museum and Xian Museum and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area. It is an important cultural relic and one of the remaining symbols of ancient Chang'an (the name of Xi'an in the Tang Dynasty). After enjoying a special lunch in a featured local style restaurant, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Guilin. Our guide will pick you up at Guilin airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 7: Guilin - Yangshuo

Your guide will bring you to the Zhujiang Pier where we will take a cruise ship to sail along the Li River. Indulge yourself in the captivating natural beauties along the river. Reach Yangshuo after around 4 hour. Take an exciting bicycle tour of the intoxicating countryside and pay a visit to the local family to experience the local lifestyle.

Day 8: Yangshuo

Day 9: Yangshuo - Guilin

Drive back to Guilin city and pay a visit to the Reed Flute Cave where you'll marvel at the enthralling karst landscape and Elephant Trunk Hill which symbolizes Guilin landscapes.

Day 10: Guilin

A 90 minute drive leads us to Longsheng, to walk the rice terraces of the Dragon’s Backbone. Beginning at the base of Mt Longji the verdant green rice fields coil up the steep mountain, layer upon layer, climbing to its summit. Taking a walk along the stone paths no more than a metre wide, we’ll pass many of the Yao and Red Yao minority women, baskets on their backs, who are also climbing skyward. Reaching the ‘Seven Stars accompanying Moon’ lookout, soak up the spectacular views. The full panorama offers thousands of ribbon like terraces cascading to the meandering streams and valley floor beneath. Returning to Guilin to overnight.

Day 11: Guilin - Yangtze & Three Gorges

Flying to Chongqing, the start point for our exciting Yangtze River cruise. Our Chongqing guide will greet you at the airport and bring you to the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo, where you can find the adorable giant pandas and the historic Ciqikou Old Town which boasts a long history of over 1,000 years. After dinner, embark on the cruise ship.

Day 12: Yangtze & Three Gorges

Sail along the Yangtze River today. Enjoy a shore excursion to Shibaozhai. Lose yourself in the wonderful Chinese folk dance and music performance by the cruise staff at the exciting Captain's Welcome Party in the evening. Scenic Spots: The Shibaozhai looks like a strangely-shaped pagoda hugging a hill. It is about 200 meters or 700 feet tall. People were hauled up to the temple until the stairway and the floors below were built. In there past, there were tourist stalls between the dock and the Shibaozhai. Now, it is one of the highlights along the Yangtze and the Three Gorges Lake.

Day 13: Yangtze & Three Gorges

Today's sailing along Yangtze River offers you the charming sights of the spectacular Qutang Gorge and the Wu Gorge. The knowledgeable guide will offer you more information about the Three Gorges, including the ancient plank road, mengliang stairway and hanging coffins. Land at Badong and take a small wooden-boat to enjoy the unrivalled natural beauty of the fabulous Shennong Stream. Return to the ship and enter the western section of the Xiling Gorge. The great performance at the Farewell Party is an unforgettable sight.

Day 14: Yangtze & Three Gorges - Shanghai

Disembark after breakfast to enjoy the gigantic Three Gorges Dam. Return to the cruise ship and prepare for check out. The cruise ship will reach Yichang around 11:30 and our guide will meet you on board. After lunch, proceed to the train station for your high speed train to Shanghai. Our Shanghai guide will greet you at the train station and show you to the hotel. Overnight Shanghai Ocean Hotel

Day 15: Shanghai

Today's excursion starts with the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. Then take a walk at the Bund and Nanjing Road. After enjoying lunch, visit Yuyuan Garden where you will have some free time at the surrounding local bazaars and New Spot (XinTianDi), which is one symbol of Shanghai folk culture. Later this evening, take the Huangpu River Cruise to enjoy the impressive scenery. Overnight Shanghai Ocean Hotel

Day 16: Shanghai

A short train journey East is Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. The charming city boasts extensive waterways and canals dotted with traditional bridges, houses and gardens. A cruise on the Grand Canal exposes Suzhou’s beauty, as does our exploration of the humble administrator’s house and garden. Overnight Shanghai Ocean Hotel
