This morning, we head over to walk in the park around the Temple of Heaven and see the locals practicing Tai Chi we then visit the Temple itself. After, we tour the centre of Beijing, China's magnificent capital, including the massive Tian'anmen Square and the sprawling Forbidden City. Boasting some 9999 rooms, the city within a city was once the sole preserve of the Chinese emperors. This afternoon why not take a rickshaw ride through the Hutongs of Beijing? Comfy shoes at the ready, your guide will take you out for a full day exploring the The Great Wall of China at Mutianyu & Dongcheng district. Returning in the later afternoon enjoy some time to relax.
After breakfast we visit the Emperor's Summer Palace, set on Kunming Lake. We then drive to the train station for the 6 hours express train to Datong. Arriving here, our local rep is on hand to transfer you to your hotel.
Today enjoy the day exploring the amazing sites of the region including the Yungang Grottoes, Huayan Temple, The Nine Dragon Wall and The Shanhua Temple. Tonight you travel by sleeper train to Pingyao.
On arrival into Pingyao we are met by our guide. Today's sightseeing in Pingyao will be to Shuangling Temple and Zhengguo Temple.
Today we explore the town - the City Wall, The First Bank of China and Mingqing Street. This evening we board our train to sleeper train to Xian.
Arrive Xi’an and hotel transfer/check in. Later we tour the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site where some 7,000 warriors stand in battle ready position. We then visit the Muslim Quarter and Grand Mosque.
Todays fascinating highlights include a bike ride or walk on the City wall, Shaanxi Historical Museum and the Wild Goose Pagoda.
Morning you will dropped at the station for the express journey to Luoyang. Here, we explore the UNESCO - listed 6th Century Longman Caves etched into the cliffs of the Yi River. The 1300 caves (grottoes) are adorned with 100,000 statues and images of Buddha and his disciples, carved during the Northern Wei Dynasty.
This morning you set off to the Song Shan hills to visit the Shaolin Temple and then travel onward to Zhengzhou.
Today you travel to Suzhou on the high speed train. Sit back and enjoy the journey.
Explore ancient Suzhou which is interwoven by a series of canals and pretty waterways. We cruise on the Grand Canal at 1800km in length it's the longest canal on earth and ranks alongside the Great Wall as China’s greatest engineering achievement, and visit a silk workshop before travelling to Shanghai on the express train.

Early morning (5 am) you will be taken to the 2 hour express train destined for Hangzhou. Spend the day with our expert guide visiting the Six Harmonies Pagoda, West Lake, Lingyin Temple and take a bicycle ride. Time permitting we will also visit a Tea Museum if that interests you.
This morning we transfer to the airport for your flight to Huangshan (Via Chongqing or Guangzhou) Arriving at Huangshan in the afternoon you will be transferred to the Cable car to stay the night on the top.
Today after enjoying the spectacular sunrise over the peaks we will take for an excursion to visit the cloud dispelling pavillion, The Grand Canyon, Flying Rock and the Summit Peak.
Morning returning to the city by Cable car then transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Arriving in Shanghai you can connect to your flight home.
