Welcome to China and the start of your adventure with On the Go Tours! Upon your arrival at Beijing's international airport you will be met by our local representative and transferred to the Rainbow Hotel where you can leave your main luggage. You'll only need a small backpack with essentials for the next few days. Later this evening we transfer you to the railway station for your overnight sleeper train to Datong.
You arrive into Datong early giving you a whole day to explore the area. Take a guided sightseeing walk around the Yungang Grottoes (some of the first and grandest of Buddhist grottoes containing intricately carved buddhas of all shapes and sizes), Huayan Temple, Nine Dragon Wall and Shanua Temple. The Nine Dragon Wall is a 600-year-old Nine-Dragon Screen made up of glazed tiles, the 50-m ceramic wall depicts a fire breathing dragon.
Today you head over to the Hanging Temple and the Wood Pagoda for more sightseeing. The Hanging Temple is a sight to behold and is a structure that seriously defies gravity. Constructed on an impossibly precipitous rockface, it literally hugs the cliff.
This morning you take the day train back to Beijing where you will join our 15 day Yin and Yangtze group tour. For day-by-day itinerary and full inclusions of this group tour, please refer to the separate Go Guide.
Yin and Yangtze group tour.

After breakfast and hotel check out this morning we will transfer you to the railway station for the high speed train to Hangzhou. Straddling the large Xi Hu Lake with large tracts of fertile farmland surrounding the city, Hangzhou has been an important cultural centre of centuries. The lake is dotted with various islands and causeways, whilst the shoreline offers wonderful vistas of green trees, hills, flowers, pavillions, pagodas and boats. Today we explore the lake and enjoy a bicycle ride before visiting the Lingyin Temple, one of China's most famous Buddhist temples.
Today we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Renowned for its striking, if bizarre scenery - vast areas of karst limestone outcrops that rise up from flat rice paddy fields, Guilin is often the subject of Chinese painting. Today you will visit Elephant Trunk Hill and the gargantuan Reed Flute Cave.
This morning you'll take a relaxing river cruise along the River Li to Yangshuo including a delicious lunch on board. In the afternoon take a visit to West Street, the oldest street in Yangshuo and home to a vast array of craft and calligraphy shops, cafes, restaurants and Kung Fu academies.
Day at leisure for you to independently explore.
