Day 1: Beijing
Welcome to China and the start of your holiday! Enjoy an arrival transfer to our hotel, where you sit back and relax after your long flight.
Day 2: Beijing
Drive (1.5 hrs) and hike on the Great Wall at Mutianyu. After a noodle-making lesson and lunch at Xiaolumian Restaurant a village farmhouse-turned-noodle house at the foot of the Great Wall we then drive back down town.
Day 3: Beijing - Harbin
Today a morning visit to the Summer Palace with its surreal Marble boat. In the afternoon take train to Harbin D27 1418/2324. Arrive at Harbin, met by guide and transfer to your hotel.
Day 4: Harbin
The morning is free to explore. This afternoon, visit the Snow and Ice festival where replicas of some of the most famous buildings in the world have been faithfully recreated in ice, and as darkness falls, multi-coloured lights inside them blaze forth.
Day 5: Harbin
Today visit a unique zoo, one where the visitors are in cages rather than the animals! The reason for this is that the animals in question are Siberian Tigers, around 500 of them roaming the 350 acre park, and you may also see Bengali tigers, white tigers, lions, lynx and leopards here too. This evening visit the Ice Lantern Festival at Zhaolin Park.
Day 6: Harbin
Today drive to the 'snowlands' (around 5 hours). Sledging and a visit to the Cinematography Centre at Jaipi Valley.
Day 8: Harbin - Beijing
Today we explore the snowland are further, visiting the woodworkers at Shuangfeng Forest Farm.
Day 9: Beijing
Today you will be met and transferred to the airport for your flight to Beijing. Arrival into Beijing and transfer to the hotel.
Day 10: Beijing
Today we explore Beijing visiting Tiananmen Square, the Forbiden City, Jingshan National Park and the Temple of Heaven.
Day 11: Beijing
Today we visit Art Zone to view the many art exhibits. This afternoon is free to explore independently.
