Upon arriving in Shanghai you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day you have at leisure to explore Shanghai. Shop for souvenirs along Nanjing Road or explore the French Quarter and the old city.
This morning starts off after breakfast for a full days excursion, highlights will be a visit to the Yu Yuan gardens , Cheng Huang Temple. Later today enjoy a cruise on the Huangpu River. Just across the Huangpu River is the new Shanghai, a high-tech development of sky scrapers, the centre piece of which is the rocket-shaped Oriental Pearl TV tower.
Today offers free time to independently explore. Perhaps visit the Oriental Pearl TV tower, the Jade Buddha Temple, French Quarter or take a more interactive approach and discover Shanghai’s Science and Technology Museum with IMAX 3D, IWERKS 4D and space theatres - it’s a top spot for kids!
Today morning you are free to explore independently Shanghai and this evening you will be transferred to the train station where you will board an overnight sleeper train (4 berth soft sleeper cabins) to Xi'an.
On arriving in Xian you will be transferred from the train station to your hotel (check-in after 2pm generally). Later today you will visit the Banpo Neolithic Museum and Bell Tower.
Today starts of with touring the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site where some 7,000 warriors stand in battle ready position and a factory demonstrating how the warriors are crafted. Please note that check-out is generally at 12 noon. This evening we will transfer you to the train station for your overnight train to Beijing.
This morning we will pick you up from the train station and transfer you to your hotel (check-in generally 2pm). We will then begin our full day tour including the temple of heaven, the massive Tiananmen Square and the sprawling Forbidden City, boasting some 9999 rooms.
Today, we visit Silk Alley markets and the beautiful Summer Palace. Later today you also visit the silk markets and take a stroll or a rickshaw ride through the city’s alleyways (hutongs). Hutongs are a special feature of central Beijing and weave across much of an area between Wangfujing and the east wall of the Forbidden City and also between Wangfujing and Dongdan. Typically running east to west, hutongs were created by the walls of courtyard houses (siheyuan).
Don some comfortable shoes. Today we drive out of the city to Badaling, where we can walk a section of the Great Wall. Some sections are fairly steep, but the walk on the vast wall that snakes for thousands of kilometres is one of those ‘must do’ experiences! Later today you will also visit the Olympic venues.
Today you have the morning at your leisure and later we transfer you to the airport for your departing flight to Hong Kong. Upon arrival in Hong Kong you shall be transferred to your hotel.
Today you visit Disney Land for the entire day (entrance tickets not included) returning in the evening to your hotel for your overnight stay.
Today we bid you farewell with a transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
