Day 8: - Beijing
Transfer from Jinghang Holiday Hotel to the train station for afternoon high speed train to Beijing, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 9: Beijing
Today, travel beyond Beijing to Badaling, where you can walk (almost climb on some sections) on the Great Wall. Following a ridge of barren hills through northern China, it stretches as far as the eye can see - at least 6,700 kms! Continuing on, a visit is made to the tombs of the Ming emperors, where some 13 emperors were interred. The tombs are approached via a sacred gateway and gate houses.
Day 10: Beijing
This morning, we tour the centre of Beijing, China's magnificent capital, including the massive Tiananmen Square and the sprawling Forbidden City. Boasting some 9999 rooms, the city within a city was once the sole preserve of the Chinese emperors. This afternoon we take a rickshaw ride through the Hutongs of Beijing.
Day 11: Beijing - Xi'an
We visit the Temples of Heaven and it's surrounding parklanks, where transcendental music plays on loud speakers and locals practise Tai Chi and Yoga. Later we visit the Emperor's Summer Palace, set on Kunming Lake and the Silk Alley Markets. Later today, we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Xi'an, where you will be met and transferred to the airport.
Day 12: Xi'an
We tour the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site where some 7,000 warriors stand in battle ready position. Tonight, enjoy a Tang Dynasty dinner and performance.
Day 13: Xi'an - Shanghai
Morning at leisure. Transfer to the airport for your early afternoon flight to Shanghai, where you will be met and transferred to the airport.
Day 14: Shanghai
Focus your eyes on spectacular Shanghai. Perhaps, China’s most modern city, its amazing Pudong skyline is stunning. After breakfast at our hotel, we take a tour of the many city sights including Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple and The Bund, with a cruise on the Huangpu River.
Day 15: Shanghai - Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)
Day at leisure to explore Shanghai. Transfer this afternoon to the airport for your flight to Huangshan, where you will be met and transferred to hotel.
Day 16: Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)
Visit Huangshan by cable car. Considered the most beautiful mountain in China, Yellow Mountain or Huangshan is one of a range of 72 peaks in the south of Anhui Province. Set amidst rural landscapes and with its slopes clad in pine, the ethereal scenery is nothing short of breathtaking. We enjoy touring of Shixin Peak, Lion Peak, Refreshing Terrace, Flower growing out of writing brush and Monkey gazing at the sea.
Day 17: Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)
Watching the sunrise this morning over the beautiful mountain range before touring the Clouds Dispelling Pavilion, Xihai Grand Canyon, Flying Stone, Bright Top Peak and more.
Day 18: Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) - Chongqing
Cable car down to the city to visit the old street of the Song Dynasty before transferring to the airport for your flight to Chongqing, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 19: Chongqing - Yangtze & Three Gorges
Day at Leisure in Chongqing before boarding our exciting Yangtze River Cruise.
Day 22: Yangtze & Three Gorges - Wuhan
Disembarking from our cruise in Yichang, you will be met and transferred to the train to station for high speed train to Wuhan, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
